'what?!' Appall was written all over his face but he wouldn't let himself exclaim or protest and retort. Demure seemed the way to go for him; it was both shyness and the indifferent attitude he would present that seemed to fuel others emotions. Who and what Rinoa and darkness was.. is swatted over his head now. Noctis' eyes flamed purple and he felt a pulse of wind flash around him as his summon invisibly encircled him in complete defense, according to his mood.
He would be infuriated, but was true, he was shy and now he didn't know how to react. It was like he made himself this dragon but he was really worm holing inside a complex maze that led him nowhere with conquering his depressing aura. This stranger was lecturing him then contradicting himself as one to judge... Noctis looked Squall up and down, openly sizing him up since he was talking so big as though he could see right through Noctis. There was a hint of arrogance in Noctis, and that he knew because he wanted to smirk and teach this ... he couldn't even decide was worth his time person... a lesson. Rationalising, he weighed it all on scales, it wasn't worth his time only because if they were as he assumed the same type of mercenary, he would be fine to underestimate seeing as Zack was the best. Then again, Noctis was ready to be mistaken; the immediate discomfort which felt like tens of swords drawn up to attack Squall wasn't going to fade any time soon.
Exhaling deeply, he simply walked around Squall to head the party, awaiting where this place they could stay was. It was taking forever and Noctis grew impatient when he was being put on the spot, he often wanted things to be over with and when he previously hadn't, it seemed proper to now prefer it. There were things, and people he cared about but could not express those feelings to, in the fear of rejection and being against his duties; who knows what kind of character he would become...emotional and weak by his books...tied to someone who could be his downfall... He wanted none of that and fought very hard to stay level headed with the notion. The direct contrast of how one like Zack would feel about, 'downfall'. "Is it not right to be stiff with strangers? I have my drawbacks but we are not friends..." As he went past Squall, he had momentarily stopped, glancing at him and admitted things that justified himself; it was pointless truly but there was an urge to say something mild and agreeable in retaliation.
Turning back to Zack and Cloud, he spoke with a less forceful tone and nodded once to show his understanding. "Of course...I'll find out in due time." He felt a cold rush, as though Sephiroth this dreaded otherwordly being had arrived, but it was merely his mindset softening up. Just where were they going to trudge to....?he was going to let himself have high expectations of Squall as he decided not to put Zack more out of breath telling him things.

"Squall...I'm sorry man, about Rinoa!" "Who wouldn't want you to find Rinoa?" "I don't know...Her eyes. If you saw Rinoa's eyes...They were...evil...." Squall remembered back in his world when Rinoa entered the portal that led her here...."having worked with Sephiroth for months, yes, I do know a good deal of his magic's and abilities. However, he learns new abilities every time you next see him. He gains in power, especially since he had been in the life stream, that added many new powers to his list! He isn't human, and don't think you ever know all his abilities, because if you do, that will be your first downfall!" Squall remained silent. He was remembering the things that he has done with Rinoa that evening....He asked her to marry him. She said yes. He was more in love with her now than ever...What could he do to get her back? "Even if you are not his enemy, if you are good, or have good in you, you will become his enemy...so choose wisely when you meet him!" "I will let you decide for yourself who your enemy is...I cannot, and will not push you into a decision!" "Yeah, Cloud isn't doing that great...We were doing pretty good, until Sephiroth came out with a Magic I've never had to deal with before, never seen the like of it..." "It hit Cloud instead of me, and then I got us the Hell outta there!" Squall was still lost in thought.....Until.... "lead us to the Place Squall, I would sure like Cloud to be able to rest!" Squall nodded at Zack...As Zack brought him back to reality....."It's not far..." You could even hear the change in Squall's voice now as he was begging to wonder if he would ever get Rinoa back...."Is it not right to be stiff with strangers? I have my drawbacks but we are not friends..." "Of course...I'll find out in due time." Squall then laughed as he heard the man's comments on friends..... "I pity you...Because you remind me of some one...Now who could that be..." Oh...yeah....Me....Trust me...You will realize what your so called 'friends' mean to you once you lose them.....Come Zack...It's not far....I hope Cloud can go a few miles....." Squall waved his hand at his friends....But he didn't like Noctis at all...Because Noctis was a ghostly image of himself.....

Through it all Cloud too remained contained with goodness in his heart. The pain from that magic spell that Sephiroth played on him, hit him really hard though. He needed medical attention immediately....It was a matter of time before Sephiroth would spring another attack on them. Or Cloud's heart would be consumed with Darkness. Cloud held tight to Zack. He was scared. Terrified.
Cloud made slight groans as Zack moved him along. But that was the only thing that he was able to utter from his mouth right now. Cloud knew Squall was there. He remembered the sound of Squall's voice...That was when it happened...."Tifa...?" Cloud called her name out. As if she was right beside him. But Cloud did not know that she was not there....He wanted her so badly that it made him delusional...He was hearing her voice beside him....Had his love found him? "Tifa....I'm....sorry....." This was not good....His heart was failing him...Tifa was his Light....Could he use her Light when she was not with him? He needed to see her to carry on....
His heart in his chest was in so much pain.....He would let the Heartless take it right now. But he knew Zack would not let that happen....Zack would probably step up and tell Cloud that Tifa was not here. Any friend would. And that would break what was left of Cloud's heart.....For a moment, Cloud slipped out of Zack's arms and fell to the ground...As he groaned louder in pain...He wanted Zack to just let him die....He was in so much pain....... "Tifa....Why.....?" That would be a question he only knew the reason for asking....

Zack Fair
Zack's eyebrows pulled together in thought. If even Squall didn't know...then he wouldn't have a clue. What if Rinoa never came back? he shook his head, he didn't want to think that, and he didn't want Squall to know he was thinking that. His face didn't change. He didn't dwell on Aerith at the moment. Yes, he loved her, but no, she didn't clog up his thoughts. He hadn't seen her since he had gotten back here, so he wasn't thinking of her at the moment. He had always been like that, when he was in battle, his mind was clear, he didn't let emotion's get in the way. That could be seen when he had battled Angeal, Sephiroth...yes, they had meant a lot to him, but at the time, he hadn't let that get in the way.
After wards, yes, he had been devastated. But, while in the moment, after the first initial shock that he would have to fight them, he had pushed it out of his mind. Right now, even now, his thoughts did not dwell on anyone in particular, except Cloud, and Sephiroth. Sephiroth...he would have to face him again before the day was done. He had seen the shock on Sephiroth's face when he had seen Zack. He had been the calm one then, and it had been Sephiroth that had been caught off guard.
He had liked that. he had seen it all too little, Sephiroth being caught off guard. In fact, he had never seen it before. Not that it had taken Sephiroth long to get back into his cold, calm collected self, but Zack had still relished feeling that. He had stood there, looking at Sephiroth, and just smiled. He remembered that, and sighed deeply. Seeing Sephiroth like that had made him sad, thinking of when they had been friends. He hadn't let it get to him though, and had instead, drawn his sword and battled him. The second they had started to fight, Zack had known...Sephiroth had gained in power, he had known they were outmatched the way they were. If he had fought with the same powers as he had when Zack had known him, they would have had a great chance at defeating him. Yet, because they had to deal with magic's they had never dealt with before, they had lost.
Zack glanced at Noctis, and then at Squall. Those two...they were going to fight, he could feel it! Zack didn't want two fighting men, but it couldn't be avoided from what they had both said. Zack might have taken offense to being told that as well, although, being himself, he didn't have to worry about being told he was to cold and that he had to let his friends in. He didn't have to worry about that, but it would irritate him if they kept fighting, they had a bigger picture to think about here! He was glad when Noctis decided not to pursue it. He didn't want to break those two up. Squall did have a point, but Zack wasn't going to add to the discomfort by telling Noctis that. He just shook his head before speaking, "Ok, lets go...we can't get there soon enough!" Zack didn't know the area, so he hadn't known really where to go.
As they were walking, Zack suddenly heard Cloud speak out. He glanced down at him, his eyes hurting for his friend. he didn't know if Cloud was awake or just feverish, but either way, he wasn't going to tell him that Tifa wasn't there. He just continued on, until Cloud fell from his grip. Zack grabbed for him, but saw him land on the ground. Dropping down on his heels, he wished he could slap some sense into him again. If he wasn't so damn hurt, he would have. As it was, he just grabbed his arm. "Cloud, Tifa isn't here, but I'm sure she will be! Now, dammit, you come with me, because if you let yourself die, you won't ever get to see her again!" he spoke roughly and firmly. This wasn't the time for any self pity. He was going to get Cloud safe, and then he was going to get him better, and after that, he would get Tifa to come. He didn't know how, but if it made Cloud happy, he would get her there.
He hoisted Cloud back up, and not listening to his muttering, he continued on, his eyes hard. He was going to have to deal with all of this, Sephiroth, Cloud, it was his to command. Squall and Cloud were both strong, but at the moment, Cloud couldn't do basically anything, and Squall was getting irritated at Noctis. And, he didn't know anything about Nocits, so he couldn't be in charge. Zack took in a deep breath, and continuing without looking at any of them. Besides that, he knew more about Sephiroth then any of them. He had been speculating about his new magics, and thought he might know how to overcome them. He had gotten a lot stronger with Magic since he had been in the lifestream as well. It had taught him new things, making him stronger as well as Sephiroth..

Noctis couldn't be more irate that Squall had compared himself with him, but he kept his hands by his side. The gloved fingers twitched in motion to command his stalking summon but never going through with it. He of all people was pitied? Sure he self pitied at times but no one really told him that to his face, it only confirmed all the thoughts he didn't want, about himself. Deep down inside, he was rather saddened by this confirmation and couldn't choose between defense mechanisms or being affected. To keep his cool, he would have to flick the off switches to his upsets and yet he wanted to let that be known as though in some ways to contradict Squall's thought of his cold demeanour.
Now he was flustered, and his hair went slightly more dark bluish than silver. There was no colour code he could keep but he knew it meant he was going to be alright; in other words, even more aloof until it would turn black like it did when he was shy or disturbed. The extrovert in him was beating the introversion but not doing a great job. He looked at Zack while he spoke of the more important matter at hand and was relieved he didn't further emphasise what Squall had said. Noctis would probably go berserk then, being so misunderstood and a slave to his personality.
Cloud had muttered things, this time about Tifa? It looked as though Noctis was the one unconscious, not knowing all the little details that kept sprouting from them in fragments. This time he did comply to Squall leading them, as it just sped movement up; they had such disdain for each other that was muted by reservation and laughter. Had they been from the same worlds, perhaps it would be different; he nearly rolled his eyes seeing as he was typically giving Squall silent treatment until they got to this 'place'. It probably made him focus more on leading them anyway, perhaps he would suggest the same deal with Squall once they were close to being out of harms way... It all depended on whether he brooded on things and if the chances were that Squall was going to rebuke him on that, he was going to feel quite stung and rejected...even offended over such petty issues. In spite of this, he was cool with how Squall and Zack seemed more at home to conversation between each other, it didn't go to his heart if he was quite neglected so why would the other two men think twice if he kept quiet. In some ways it was good Squall expected him to be the book he thinks he could read.
"I have more questions now though it is at an inconvenient time... I will answer yours in exchange Zack Fair ...if you ask... or begin to." Thinking this would be a better idea than simply not speaking at all since the rest seemed tired and he was fresh, clean and curious, Noctis traded his own secrets for theirs, at last. He didn't want to figure out who were enemies but as long as there was no interest in his Crystal, they were fine for now and he had already aligned himself against Sephiroth so who cared?

"Cloud, Tifa isn't here, but I'm sure she will be! Now, dammit, you come with me, because if you let yourself die, you won't ever get to see her again!" Cloud looked up at his best friend. And realized that it was not Tifa then. He felt Zack hoist him up again. And let out a loud groan...So it was not Tifa. He could probably burst into tears right now. Because she was not here by his side. But in a way he did not want Tifa to see him like this. He knew how she worried about him and others. She was a good fighter though. They could use all the help they could get. And Tifa was selfless. She cared more about others than her self....
Cloud came back to reality....She was not here. But he knew he was safe with Zack. Cloud was probably the only one that did not give Noctis tongue....Cloud didn't care about who was here....As long as they would help him....Cloud would welcome help at this point. From a total stranger....But Cloud felt Noctis's aura. He was shy...Like he was. He was quiet.....And didn't bounce about....Cloud was pretty much like Noctis....He didn't understand why Zack was acting like this....Towards some one that had been talking to him for over 45 minutes....Surely thet at least know their names by now......

Squall remained silent. He realized that he might have just hurt the man's feelings. Because this man diverted his voice to Zack now. "I have more questions now though it is at an inconvenient time... I will answer yours in exchange Zack Fair ...if you ask... or begin to." Squall then falled behind to speak with Noctis...."Look, I apologize...It's just every since I lost Rinoa I'm not myself...Can we start over and just forget what I said?" Squall said to Noctis with a smile....He was trying to ask for forgiveness but would the man give it to him? He remembered what Rinoa had done for his emotions....And now Squall was really different even Zack would notice.....
That was when Squall struck his hand out for Noctis to shake. Would Noctis take it? Squall was trying you had to give him credit for that. He felt bad now after what he said to Noctis....And he was glad Rinoa was not here now to hear what he said....She would slap him silly into his senses and force him to apologize possibly.....

Zack Fair
Zack kept trudging on, trying to keep his mind clear and think at the same time. He was speculating on Sephiroth. He shook his head, he needed to stop, it was going to zap his brain if he thought to much about it. He could feel Cloud, his pain, his anguish, but he couldn't do anything about it. He looked across to Noctis once more, his eyes catching his own for a brief second. He was getting desperate about Cloud's condition. He wondered who Noctis might be, what he was. Where he was from. it wasn't any of his business, but then again, he wished he could make it his business.
Zack stopped dead at Noctis' words. He turned quickly, his eyes on his. He was about to speak when he heard Squall talk to Noctis. He waited patiently, but he had to ask him something. He was surprised when Squall put his hand out. He smiled, respecting Squall even more now. He knew how Squall got when he was away from Rinoa, especially if he was worrying about her.
He stood there, waiting for him to get done, before taking his right arm and rubbing his neck. "Noctis, your right, this isn't the best time, but I need to know something RIGHT now!" He closed his eyes. He was becoming more outgoing again, and he was trusting this Noctis more, but still not fully. He stood, looking down at the slightly shorter man, "Do you have healing magic?" He said it with hope in his voice. He had to know, because he wanted Cloud to be able to make it. If that meant putting trust in a complete stranger, he would take the chance.
He stood, waiting for his answer. He had to know. There was something about Noctis, something that made him wonder. He could feel that he had some abilities, but he couldn't tell exactly what. His blue eyes looked into his, waiting. Would he be able to help Cloud...or not? [occ: SUPER crappy post sorry!]

Noctis' face turned, blinking as he did so to look at Squall. He couldn't gaze straight at Squall, and flickered his eyes from side to side but rested them upon Squall's outstretched hand as though ultimately finding a good place after frantically searching. "Rinoa?" He flatly asked wondering why Squall made the tides change now but pardoned their misunderstanding, surprisingly quickly. Reaching his own gloved hand out to grip Squall's in a firm clasp that was equivalent to a shake, he looked back up to the man's face and tried not to be disagreeable.
"Apologies..." Beginning, he broke off, softening the look in his eyes and then continuing still naturally not wanting to present himself with all the emotions he has. "...they're unnecessary now." Both meaning they were square, and that they simply weren't necessary because he didn't want to be offended, nor did he want Squall to be an offender given his ...reasons. Noctis had a soft spot and in a way this was how he apologised for his own behaviour, when he understood that people were different from him, he was controlled but they weren't and Squall was reacting as he missed Rinoa...
Back in the day, he would've missed his family but now that was all gone...so he should have been above all irritance in the first place. He was confident Squall would take his cue that from this moment on, they were restarting, just that he shouldn't hope he would be any more out going than he was being at this time. It was courageous, Noctis would never have asked for anything like Squall did, if he was in fear of 'rejection' and shied away from it all, there was much to learn.
Noctis' brow creased again, as Zack called his name. Something ...right now? What could be so daunting... and he is almost shouting in emphasis... This black haired man, made him want to laugh with all the abundance in energy that he had. What Zack wanted to know came, and silence passed them all.
Healing magic? There was no way of knowing how to conduct Healing magic, as he had never tried... though he knew he only discovered his powers randomly as he grew up. He didn't want to disappoint him though as he had earlier wanted to help genuinely. Noctis almost scowled at himself striving to create something useful of his magic at this time of need; he desperately used his brain. "I have never attempted this...but..." The last part he nearly whispered as reflective particles began to gather around him, hovering in mid air."...it will be more than nothing."
Lifting his hand out of contact with Squall's, he opened his hand as though holding a sphere and gathered the force of his summon around, concentrating enough to make himself faint. It was his practiced willpower that would always keep him on his feet, and diminish pain in any form; this would be a gesture he would use to give them his sincerity.
All this time, he hadn't answered Zack and his eyes were merely glaring into nothingness, the pupils enlarged and begun darkening his iris to become black; it wasn't red as he had no murderous intent. This was a first to Noctis; a blast of wind shot from around him like elastic vines that had been freed from their roping, with the tips only the circumference of a bullet and so strong they were visible. They charged at Cloud from where he stood, and he knew Zack could feel the full force strike him but it would be the only way to counter the gravitational pressure that made his friend bleed incessantly; the attacking force of a supernatural array of weapons was to become a fluid bag to seal Cloud in protection. The fact that he stressed to make the points of each shot of pressure so small was to hold the surface of Cloud's wounds in place, against the movement that tore flesh and kept reopening them. He delivered them as an invisible film to bandage them and push a cut together if it were deep enough, as though it had been stitched.
"It is no healing magic...and will hold until the force is redirected by me...elsewhere...I ... can't guarantee what it may do if I release it... but in due time he will heal as fast as his body allows, if this is going against nature..." His breath had shortened because he was forcing his Crystal's powers to be used in a way that it didn't allow, but it would be fine so long as he didn't need to battle Sephiroth. "He will have to withstand the pressure slightly..."
The summons' weapons could not come to him this way and the energy did drain him slightly, just not enough to break a sweat yet; he wasn't going to let that be seen either and Noctis stubbornly stood straight, turning to follow Squall on their journey but the pulse of his heartbeat drummed at his temple. The boy wanted to be man enough to take care of it and coolly awaited Zack to bombard him with more questions, come what may.

"Apologies..." "...they're unnecessary now." "Yeah...I guess you're right....The important thing is helping Cloud now...." Squall agreed....As he now turned his attention to his hurt friend...If there was any thing he could do to help Cloud he would. This man helped him out once.....And how could Squall ever pay Cloud back? "I have never attempted this...but..." "...it will be more than nothing."
Squall's eyes widened as he saw the power that Noctis was using. That was just wow! But did it work? "It is no healing magic...and will hold until the force is redirected by me...elsewhere...I ... can't guarantee what it may do if I release it... but in due time he will heal as fast as his body allows, if this is going against nature..." Squall didn't even have to ask Noctis.....Because the man explained this the best he could to help Squall and Zack understand.... "Wow! I think I say this for Cloud's sake....Thank you...." Squall spoke for Cloud. He saw the reaction the Ex-Soldier had when all was done and said....He saw Cloud lift his head up....As he looked at Noctis.....There was that look in Cloud's eyes too. That he was thankful for the help....But what would Zack say about it?

The elastic vines hit Cloud with a hard impact! Making him slam down on the ground...He even closed his eyes. He was not ready for this....This was like on the spot thing...Cloud saw Tifa in his mind as the vines did their work....He moved his head to the side. As he started to breathe a bit better now. But not by much. It was better than what he was doing earlier though. All went blank on him....Even Tifa disappeared from his mind....All Cloud was able to see was nothing but pure pitch blackness.
The power that Noctis used on him was enough to knock him out! Great! Now what would Zack do...? They better hope the sanctuary that Squall knew about was not far. The vines worked actually. But just as Noctis explained....They could only be removed if he ordered. Cloud was for ever grateful for Noctis in trying....Cloud knew there was some thing good about this guy....He just wanted to tell Zack so bad that it was okay to trust him.....And Squall too....Cloud got the notion that the reason Squall was here was because of Rinoa....Other wise why would the man be here in the first place....?
==================
In a white flash! Cloud woke up! But he was still in the Darkness....Where was he? He was healed completely as well....He checked himself over and over....Was he in a dream? Where were the others? "ZACK?!!"No one answered him..... "SQUALL?!" Again no one...."NOCTIS!!!" Still no one.....He was started to get a bit freaked out...Was this the Darkness in souls? Had the Darkness beat him? What the hell was going on?!! He was scared.... "MOM!! I'm scared!!"

Zack Fair
Zack's muscles tightened, but he forced himself to relax. Cloud wasn't going to get better without something happening. He could feel Noctis, and he felt good. He had feelings about people, and he had a good feeling about Noctis, he just didn't trust himself fully. He didn't speak when Noctis first told him about his magic. "Just...try, I'm thankful you would even try!" He spoke with sincerity in his voice. Noctis was being honest, telling Zack that he might not be able to do anything about Cloud's injuries. He could Feel Noctis trying to work his powers. Zack knew and held enough Magic abilities to know it wasn't easy for him, yet, he kept his calm cool aura.
He drew back, not getting in the way while Noctis worked with Cloud. He didn't show his emotions. He was man enough to admit that right then, he couldn't do anything for Cloud, while even if there was a slight chance only, there was a chance that Noctis could help him. He stood, ridged, but still, not interfering in the least. When Cloud slammed back against the ground, Zack gritted his teeth and lunged forward, but then stopped himself. If Noctis truly knew what he was doing, Zack didn't need to worry.
After he had worked his magic, Zack knelt beside Cloud. He wondered if he would be any better. He glanced up to Noctis, his face different. He wasn't so stressed now. He could tell that, after the initial shock, Cloud was better physically. He stood up, and for a second his back was turned to Noctis before he turned around. He walked to Noctis then, his strides full of energy. He stood for a moment, in front of him, looking into his eyes. His own face was serious, "Thank you Noctis!" He spoke with warmth to the man for the first time. He didn't ask anymore questions, although he wished to know, but he did not ask them.
His entire body was relaxed. Noctis had gained his trust. He wasn't usually so unwilling to trust, but when the day had gone like his had, you weren't exactly wanting to trust every cold person that came around. He reached out, not caring if he was making Noctis uncomfortable. Resting his hand on his shoulder, Zack lifted his chin more. "Noctis, You've gained my trust, I'm sorry I couldn't tell you that any sooner!" He nodded, before taking his hand off his shoulder. "Right!" he said energetically, his hands on his hips then. Zack had always acted in his teens. Even with being 24 he still acted young and high energy most of the time.
He cocked his head, before feeling something from Cloud. Turning, he knelt beside him once more. "Cloud?" He spoke, wondering what had happened. His face looked like he wasn't hurting, yet he could have sworn he had heard him calling for him. His eyebrows drew together. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with Cloud, yet, he could feel something wasn't right. He also could tell whatever it was wasn't Noctis' fault. Turning, he looked at Noctis, "Do you know if anything might possibly go wrong?"

da da DA SEPHRIOTH!!! (I felt like doing his theme music lol)
Sephiroth
Sephiroth...he was back. He grinned to himself. He had been surprised when he had Seen Zack with Cloud. Yes, he had expected Cloud...but not his past friend, Zack. He had been flustered, for the first time in years, he had been flustered, and it had made him angry. He had stood there, his eyes wide, and let His arch enemies see him flustered. He scowled now, angry with himself at the thought. Outwardly, Sephiroth didn't show his thoughts. No, now he was calm, collected and confident once more. It hadn't taken him more then a few seconds to recover from his shock, but just the fact that it had been there was enough to want them dead.
He hadn't known Zack was that strong. He had gotten stronger since the last time he had battled him. And strangely, he was calmer as well. He had seen his smile, and had known he was glad to see him flustered. He had wanted to smash them, to destroy, but he had held his emotion's back. They had faced off, and he had seen something new in their looks. Cloud, had looked the same as ever basically, except happier, the lightness was in him more. Was it because of Zack? He knew that they had been best friends, but he still wanted to know what had let Zack come back from the lifestream as well.
Shaking off his thoughts, his mind turned to the problem at hand. They had put up a good fight for knowing nothing about his new magics. He didn't like that. not at all! He walked now, his steps calm and confident. He was going to find them, and then, he would finish them off. He had wounded Cloud, to the point of near death, but had not been able to finish him off. Zack had gotten in the way, and using a magic Sephiroth had never seen him use, had escaped. He had taken a hit to his right arm. It was healing, fast, but it had hurt. How a low life form like Zack or Cloud could harm him made his eyes narrow.
suddenly he stopped. He could feel Cloud going through some sort of pain, or rather, heeling. Muttering, he dipped his head, and raising his arm, he allowed himself to get into Cloud's brain. He stood, his eyes closed before opening them. Success. he had done it, he was now controlling Cloud. A shadowy smile flitted across his face. "Oh, you will all pay for what you have done to Mother and I..." He muttered. Waving his hand, he made darkness surround Cloud. His eyes sharpened, he made him feel alone. That was one quality that always got to Cloud...feeling alone. He flashed a picture of Tifa...walking away from him. He didn't feel bad, no heart remained in his chest. He was going to make Cloud pay, and suffer. They would all suffer for what they had done to his mother!

"...You're...welcome." He finished his sentence quickly, but a happiness did shadow the indifferent expression he usually had. It was something he was glad he did, as though it was one of the best things he had done in this life so far. Noctis shook his head swiftly as if to say, it was all nothing but he understood it seemed a bit much for a stranger's help. Squall had to understand, that with Noctis... the smile reached his eyes before his lips not the other way round like it should be, and so it was only in his eyes that one could tell he was emotional.
It was a risky affair. Self doubt and fear spun a web that tangled Noctis' confidence but he didn't want it to drain him nor waver his heart as the Crystal's strength came to him by his mood. It was strongest when he was... As he heard what Zack said, he shrunk in embarassment, feeling his face go cold rather than burn with the flattery, and thought about how if he had been trusted sooner, it wouldn't have been true like it is now. This sensation was short lived...
Odd things were happening to Cloud and he seemed to be trapped in a puppet nightmare. Could it be that the Crystal is reacting? Or...is this a different magic... Noctis looked perplexed at Cloud who seemed to need to stay asleep for awhile with the galaxy of healing aura revolving around him. Was it the wrong choice?
He should've been stricken with what he was seeing. The blonde man was like a corpse alive by a poltergeist's control and somewhat fighting demons without physical movement. The rapid eye movement would've stunned him, had Cloud's eyes been open. There was a need to adjust things, and he let the pressuring force that circulated Cloud's wounds subside ever so slightly and stared from him to Zack. Your trust came in good time...but what now? It was quite disastrous if his magic had caused this, and even Zack could tell something was wrong with Cloud. Noctis didn't know how to accept what he had to say to the other two, words that foreshadowed unfavourable things and looked away at the ground, his mind spinning.
"It is possible he can't take the magic...but I wouldn't have thought he can't." Glancing sideways, he was puzzled and closed his eyes briefly, trying to sense the waves of his summon's force flooding through him to Cloud. Perhaps he could tell what was wrong...it was far fetched, all he could feel was that something tried to displace his own magic by affecting Cloud in a harmful way. It was the opposite of what he was doing...and kept rebounding his summon in attempt to clear it; this was an intense strength out of nowhere. "I feel there's an interference with the magic though...it could be anything and it is affecting him dramatically..."
Tilting his head backwards, he faced the sky and opened his eyes, the irises swirling into a dazzling bronze. His senses were fizzling like a bad tape playing in a broken radio now, and he turned back to Squall but directed his speech to both of them. "Getting close to where we're going may not change this...if it is an enemy's doing, we must rid them before it's too late. Either way...he...needs a type of help that my magic... doesn't offer." Noctis spoke darkly, setting up all precaution as he would think is best. It just seemed likely that they were being manipulated or toys in the darkness where enemies and heartless roamed everywhere, hidden or visible to the naked eye. What else could they do? Or was there something better...an aim? "What do you propose be done?"

"Oh, you will all pay for what you have done to Mother and I..." Cloud gasped as he heard that voice from behind. He turned around slowly and there he was. Cloud was really freaked out. He tried to remain calm and collected. But it was impossible. He was a lone with Sephiroth in his own mind....How did he get in here? Was there a new piece of magic he learned....? "ZACK!!!" He called out again.
But no one still answered. This was when the people he cared about the most started to appear before him and walk away from him....
"Marlene....Denzel....Aerith....." He called out their names. But they never looked back. And when he saw Tifa is heart sank right there....He was weak in the knees....At that moment he then fell to his knees...."TIFA!!!!" He reached his hand out for her....But let it fall to the blackness floor under neath him....A tear fell from his eye....Okay...You had your fun....Now get the hell out of my brain!!" He stood up and turned around as he gritted his teeth at Sephiroth.....
