Cloud had been battling the demon within. He forgot about the where the demon came from. Sephiroth. And now that Sephiroth was truly back, Cloud felt the darkness enter his heart. The pain of the blood inside Cloud from Sephiroth, was driving him to the breaking point. He and Zack had been trying to fight Sephiroth tonight. But the last battle with the one winged angel, left Cloud severely injured....All that was said between the two friends inside Aerith's church had been nothing but talk compared to what they were going through right now. Cloud wanted to have Tifa by his side as he promised her. But, this battle he was terrified that Sephiroth would try to repeat history. And kill Tifa.
Cloud grunts on the path to no where. They were in the Realm of Darkness itself. Two heroes looking for a sanctuary....But would they find one? The blood was so intense, Cloud could smell it filling his nostrils up.....Just as in the past, Zack was bound to help his friend find a way out. Cloud had already come close to accepting his fate with the Darkness....But with Zack there to help him, Cloud came back to the Light.
"Z...Zack...I'm sorry...." He apologized for his lack of strength. And what he and Zack just went through with Sephiroth. "But, I...I...gotta st...stop for...a....minute...." He was in so much pain that it was about to make him even more weaker than before. Cloud's own sword was covered with Sephiroth's blood...Blood stains....Cloud felt his legs give out on him again. He was injured badly....It was so bad that Cloud teared up....Sephiroth was still too strong for Cloud...Even with Zack there...The only reason they were running was because Cloud needed medical attention and fast.....
Cloud thought about Tifa....The woods itself was quiet tonight as though a battle never took place. It was peaceful. Cloud never forgot about that night he spent with Tifa. He was afraid that this was going to happen. He got to close to her and now he was dying...."Zack...Keep your promise for me.....L..Look after...T...ifa...." Soon after he said that Heartless started flying in the air above them...."N...o....." But the Heartless had not spotted them it was so dark in this place.....The Heartless roamed free in the Realm of Darkness.......

A voice was speaking, barely enunciating the words but it still was audible. Someone was struggling, or hardly alive enough to sustain breath... These were dark times and death surrounded him. Noctis found himself in the realm of darkness alone to no surprise and searching for any clue that may lead him back to the massacre he had only hours ago been engaged in. It was unusual he would take interest in hunting down an escapee but this one had ties with Tenebrae and he needed to exterminate out of precaution. It seemed marauders were getting closer to their goals.
There was blood on the ground he stood upon. It was fresh and gleaming in spots that trailed thinly... His eyes narrowed with distrust and alertness as he looked around, deciding to take a detour in the case that this was the right path that led him to his would be victim.
As Noctis neared the voice; it became clearer that this was some sort of proclamation...there must be two people... He brushed aside his own emergency despite this having nothing to do with him and stepped out of his line to find two men. One was injured and light haired while the other resembled him like a copy but with dark hair. They had a bond even he could tell...and both were accessorised with weapons, oversized and bloody... Defensive now, Noctis didn't speak but watched, knowing in a few seconds they would initiate some sort of confrontation as he was in plain sight. It would be then, that he could judge whether they were his enemies...or not. The atmosphere was sure to change now.

Zack Fair
Zack walked firmly, he was exhausted, but wouldn't show it. They had been confronted...by Sephiroth. He was even stronger then he had ever been before. "Dammit!!" He cursed under his breath. Right now, he wished he could tear that Freak apart. Cloud walked, struggling, his energy nearly spent. He was harmed to the point of dying, but something kept him alive. Cloud's arm was over his shoulder, Zack was half supporting him, while keeping his eyes open. They had gotten away, and none to quickly. Cloud needed medical attention...NOW!
Zack would have continued fighting, but Cloud had been severely injured. After taking a few minor hits himself, Zack wasn't feeling the greatest either. His shirt sleeve was ripped, blood showing. He walked with a slight limp, there again...Sephiroth! His sword, which hung on his back, was bloody. They had given a good fight, but Sephiroth, that crazy psycho, was stronger then he had ever been when Zack was alive before.
When he heard Cloud's request, with ragged breath, he nodded, "Sure Pal, rest as long as you need!" He set him down gently onto the ground. His best friend sat there, pulling ragged breathes into his chest. Zack cringed, then shook his head. "NO CLOUD! we're gonna get you to a doc, don't you go dying on me! I didn't come back to live just for you to die Dammit!"
He stayed crunched down on his heels, looking at Cloud. He was exhausted, and didn't want to move at all, but somehow, he was forcing himself to go on. His keen ears picked up movements behind them. He twirled on the balls of his feet, reaching back and swiftly pulling the Buster sword from his back. His eyes narrowed. Whoever it was, was gonna get their butts kicked, because he wasn't in any kind of a mood to deal with people right now. If it was Sephiroth, he would kill him, god only knew how, but he would! His sword glittered with blood, that of Sephiroth. Zack was stronger then he had known, and sharper then he had ever been. he hadn't been seriously injured by Sephiroth, although he had been hit with quite a few blows.
Who he saw was someone different. He lacked the energy to walk toward them, so instead, stayed poised, legs stretched far out, both hands holding his huge sword firmly in hand. Piercing blue eyes looked at the figure before them. '"who the hell are you?!" He spoke with a firm, angry voice. If the man didn't speak up, Zack was gonna go crazy. At this point, in the land of darkness, he couldn't trust anyone!

This tone wasn't what he was accustomed to but he fully comprehended the hostility. Darkness and heartless were looming all above from every angle but they were dismissed without a care. Noctis exhaled in his own mild irritance, but didn't allow himself to be further flustered by anything. "That would be my question." This answer wasn't going to spark a friendly attitude and if this continued, they would probably head down a path of hatred. The prince had no interest in that, nor was this the right time to provoke such things. Reasoning came before feelings as always and Noctis adjusted himself with a selfless sigh. Those two before him had just come from battle, and were unfit to match him in conflict, he thought while rationalising other areas of this unwarranted encounter in his mind.
The pause was long enough and he took two steps towards them in their worn out heap, answering. "I...am Noctis..." Surveying any traps and for sudden movement, he gazed back at them closing the distance between until he was looking slightly downwards at the dark haired man. His weapon was interestingly plain but seemingly affective and Noctis wondered what their purpose was. Perhaps it was defeat? or ambush... there was no way to know save for asking and Noctis hated making small talk when there was a barrier of inacceptance.Too bad, he was going to have to like it...
"What happened?" It seemed so futile to ask, he wouldn't know the details anyway and it wouldn't change anything; he pitied the pain of this man's comrade but he couldn't know what that was like... to care and not be able to do anything. Noctis was void on the understanding of such physical pain as nothing touched him as long as he was awake and aware; it was boring. "He needs healing magic..." He stood wide eyed and stating the obvious, blunt but honestly not knowing what to do about their predicament. "You are ...mercenary?"

"Dammit!!" "Sure Pal, rest as long as you need!" "NO CLOUD! we're gonna get you to a doc, don't you go dying on me! I didn't come back to live just for you to die Dammit!" Cloud stayed silent after that. For one he was too weak. This brought back memories... "Brings back memories huh...?" Cloud managed to say with a rough breath after that. Cloud in too much pain to even notice some one coming up to them...At this point the only thing Cloud saw in his mind, was Tifa. He remembered all that she said to him that night. He was still fighting to stay awake....He didn't want Zack to carry him on foot any more. Cloud looked down and grabbed one of his sides that was extremely bloody....And he got blood on his glove he was wearing. Cloud was taking raspy breaths. Sephiroth could've broken a rib....It just hurt all over. Cloud was loosing eye sight....The image coming toward them was blurry...Was it Sephiroth coming back for to finish him off....?

Zack Fair
Zack held his body ridged, yet still. His eyes narrowed at the man's words. who the hell did he think he was anyway?! Shaking his head, he blinked a few times, trying to regain his strength once again. He might need to fight this man, or Sephiroth. He didn't know when Sephiroth would just appear somewhere. Zack, though to the point of exhaustion, could feel his strength coming back to him with the rest he was getting. being from SOLDIER, he was supposed to be tough, and he was. He tensed his muscles, not letting himself cramp up. This man, he was powerful, that Zack could tell, but he wasn't scared of him. No, Zack wasn't scared of anyone, even if he should be.
He still stood, but his sword had come down a bit, less poised for attack. He stood still, the wind whipping at his hair. His heart beat fast, as it always did when he was readying himself for battle. He would loose, but he would do so with honor and pride. This man, he was fresh, not a spot of weakness about him, which of course, gave him the upper hand. He was tired, and couldn't stand up to him, even though his strength was coming back.
He had given his name though, and that had Zack's respect. He was almost never like this, demanding and angry, but the circumstances wouldn't allow him to be happy and outgoing at the moment, and he didn't give a damn if that made...Noct, angry.
He glared at him though, "Why should you give a damn about what happened to us?!" he closed his eyes, hating how he was sounding. Sighing, he shook his head, mumbling under his breath. He had heard Cloud weakly speak, and a smile came upon his lips. he turned his head back to Noct. "Sephiroth happened...and if you don't know anything about him, I suggest you prepare yourself!" At his advice, Zack snapped again, "I know what he needs, but, I don't have the ability to just heal people. Fighting magic I have plenty of...but healing...that's not my job!" He gritted his teeth at his words. "Ex-SOLDIER, 1st class!" He spoke without any emotion. Yes, he had been one of the best of his kind, but that was not important anymore. SOLDIER didn't even exist anymore, so why should this man care.

Noctis glared at this man in return, he hadn't given him his name but it was enough to know his rank to determine how this might go down. The eyes of the stranger glowered at him, almost with a fire that could ravage a city; the way he fussed over the problem at hand showed how tormented he was with this unexpected intrusion. Noctis' own eyes flushed shades of umber and red tints but brightened to a gold hue as he listened. Whoever Sephiroth was, didn't seem like he brought Noctis good tidings and he wasn't liking it...this was trouble he walked right into but if things were truly this grave...it may be for the first time in his life that he can't fight this nemesis alone. But could he make it with strangers? There wasn't much choice, he had concerned himself with these two too much already, and now their enemy. "Because I've exposed myself to your predicament...and likely your enemy." His calmness was annoying, to be exact it was extremely numbing with a hidden naiveness.
I could get you out of here... but that would be unwise at this stage. The voice of reason was telling him that saving another's life would reward him with divine righteousness but trust was a quiet, suspicious battlefield.
Not even a flinch was seen, Noctis didn't move to prepare himself in paranoia. What he did was prick his ears to heighten a focus on his senses and be one with the location to give him best advantages in combat. So another attack was imminent...they still had time and he wasn't the slightest bit worried as he had no clue what the deal with Sephiroth was. "Is he able to..." He was answered, the blonde figure muttered something and this man had a relieved expression. There was no way he could heal without magic too and he remained motionless in the suffocating air of this realm, thinking about SOLDIER and how he only knew the story from education and not first hand. He was meeting someone that made his books come true.
"And you are?" Waiting, he decided to test his waters, whether a more forward approach would dampen the hostility or probe it. "This isn't the best place. Can he make it further? His blood made a trail..." Noctis inquired him about his friend, telling him a fact that was also a warning, he glanced behind his shoulder, the loose strands of his hair like a curtain to his face.

Cloud heard Zack speak. But they were only like mumbles to him. He was way too weak to fight this one. And he knew Zack knew. "Why should you give a damn about what happened to us?!" Nothing but mumbling....."Sephiroth happened...and if you don't know anything about him, I suggest you prepare yourself!" Mumbling again, but Cloud realized enough that his friend was upset about some thing... "I know what he needs, but, I don't have the ability to just heal people. Fighting magic I have plenty of...but healing...that's not my job!" "Ex-SOLDIER, 1st class!"
"Because I've exposed myself to your predicament...and likely your enemy." Cloud heard enough to know it was not Sephiroth talking but a total stranger....."Is he able to..." Is he able to do what? What was going on.....? Cloud was so out of the loop with this conversation.... "And you are?" "This isn't the best place. Can he make it further? His blood made a trail..." Cloud tried not to cry like a baby with the pain he was feeling. He felt the cool air hit his wounds....That was bad enough....He did look up at the stranger....As he tried to figure out who he was....He was silent because even talking now....Was hard enough...."Z...ack.....Is...Everything.....Ok...ay?" Cloud asked with a rough breath....Cloud was scared to death. What would happen to him....? Would he die? And never see Tifa again....Or would he be consumed with Darkness....And still see Tifa and kill her? Cloud was so terrified.....Zack knew he was.....

Zack Fair
Zack stood while Noctis seemed to be thinking to himself. He shook his head, still looking into the man’s eyes. He drew back a little when he saw his eyes change from a blue color to red. His brows lifted, and he took a hand off his sword handle to run it through his hair. His hand was a bit bloody, from the blood that had been on the handle of his sword.
This man, he was calm and collected. Zack hadn’t been the cool and calm type most of his life. He was rather energetic and playful, it was just the way he was. Later in his previous life, he had become calmer, but, with all he had gone through, it was impossible to remain unaffected by what had happened. At his calm words, Zack didn’t speak for a second. The man was right; he might have to get involved with their fight now, just because he was with them now. That was reason enough to care to know about what was going on.
Zack stood, they both seemed to be sizing each other up, trying to find out something about each other. Well, Zack knew his name, but he didn’t know anything else about this Noctis character. He hadn’t flinched through anything, but Zack wasn’t exactly shaking either. Cloud was hurt worse then he had ever seen him, and it scared him. He was trying to keep his fear in check though, for Cloud’s sake. Cloud could feel some of his emotions, and Zack didn’t want him to feel the fear that was inside his own heart. Sephiroth himself had been harmed in battle, though not nearly as bad as Cloud or Zack. Zack was more tired then harmed though.
He and Cloud had gotten a few strikes in, and Sephiroth had suffered. Zack must admit, for one of the first times, he had seen surprise on Sephiroth’s face when he had seen Zack. He decided that he should be more gracious to this Noctis man, after all, he had a point, and Zack was calming down with time. “I don’t know if he can go any more…But I’ll try!” he turned his head, looking behind him, before turning it once more, “And…the name is Zack…Zack Fair!”
His voice was becoming stronger, as well as his body. He nodded at the man’s last words. Yes, they had made a trail. After running for awhile, Zack had made them stop and tried the best he could to stop the bleeding by wrapping it. It hadn’t really helped though. His own bleeding was stopped, but Cloud’s hadn’t, although it was coming close to that point. He hadn’t had the time to effectively stop the flow of blood, only minimize it, and he had known that wasn’t enough. “Yes, I know about the blood trail, but I’m not any kind of a doctor!” He was mature once again, instead of angry and emotional, but when your best friend was close to dying, it made you a little panicked.
Looking at Noctis once more, Zack didn’t know exactly how to judge him. He seemed quite, withdrawn, but was he really? He seemed lacking of any real emotion, he wasn’t like Zack at all. In reality, he reminded him somewhat of Sephiroth, in the fact that he was calm, controlled and in complete control of his emotions. He tried to ignore that, but it kept creeping up on him. He thought it best to prepare Noctis of Sephiroth, but he was right, this wasn’t the place to do that. Zack had hurt to battle Sephiroth again, not physical pain, but emotional. Seeing him again had reminded him of times when they had been comrades, allies, and that had made him sad. He had been even angrier when they had started battling however. Why had Genesis had to tell him about Jenova?! None of this would be happening if he hadn’t told him.
He heard Cloud’s ragged speaking, and crouching beside him once again, he laid his hand on his shoulder. “Cloud…we have to move! I know your hurting, but you won’t be able to get help here. Sephiroth is still close by, we have to get away from him, this isn’t the best place to stay!” he took his arm, and looked down at him. “I will help you, but we have to go, I’m sorry Cloud!” He was going to basically carry Cloud, like he had done when he was unconscious. He could do that, he had regained some strength. And, though Noctis didn’t seem like he was going to harm them, Zack didn’t trust him, and wouldn’t for awhile. And even if he trusted him with himself, he wouldn’t let him touch Cloud, no, Cloud was his best friend, and his responsibility!

Well what a surprise... It was true Noctis was thinking to himself and that itself met an abrupt end because this man had finally opened up and given him an identity to trace. He had to place a finger on the personality that came with this name though; Zack just seemed like so much of a contrast to him in speech, action and nearly everything. Noctis was, however, quite delighted that there was less of a brick wall now as the man spoke.
Amused, Noctis listened and picked out the exclamations Zack made. Everything was about him trying, him doing and him helping; his friend was lucky and in gracious hands but it was so unrealistic. Noctis didn't want to judge more than he had concluded on the subject that this Zack fair was potentially going to be a stubborn one to handle when it came down to both of them mutually calling a truce.
He didn't show this change in emotion as he eyed them and went over towards where Cloud was being lifted. There was an awkward instance where he paused, not daring to reach out to help. Suddenly, he was an outsider and enclosed in shyness about giving aid to the others. "I will keep a look out..."
There wasn't much else he could do presently, his eyes were scouring the area for a better hideout and freak attack. It was out of respect that they were still strangers and distrust that he didn't offer more than that. It was expected he couldn't intrude the perimeters of Zack's protectiveness over Cloud no matter how easy it could make Cloud's life right now. Noctis figured he, himself was oblivious to how teleportation would work with more than one other person and redirected his curiousity. "...Zack Fair, just who is Sephiroth?"
What he saw happening was admirable, how much this...'Cloud' meant to the man couldn't be overlooked; their lives must be entangled with Sephiroth's or else they wouldn't have to sacrifice so much. Watching a little way behind Zack and Cloud, he stood still as he didn't need to walk or tire himself out doing so. Perhaps by seeing him phase to catch up to them, Zack would be more accepting of his presence as someone useful...or helpful...or rather simply his skills. Only actions spoke louder than words to Noctis, there was no way he was going to be able to show a shred of human kindness by speaking as in self promoting or the like because he was just not good at it."His enduring will cease being pained, once a suitable place is found to seal his wounds."
Before, he had spoken behind them as they would be moving away, but now he was in front of Zack having zapped out, taking precious time to watch the blood trickle down Cloud's arm which luckily was beginning to slow and not drip. He would have to maintain a force field shield by the power of the Crystals and the materialisation of his weapons to cover them from harm soon but for the time being, he gave nothing away.
On the outside, little would Zack know that his brain wrecked itself for a solution on how the pressure of carefully instructed force points could telekinetically though temporarily, seal Cloud's brutal wounds. There was little time to make the most of, as Cloud was still able to speak, it would make things easier to command as he would be able to tell what was working and what...wouldn't, even if none of this had come to actuality yet. Noctis struggled inside as he had never been put to such a test as this; never having needed to tend to another's well being even if it largely related to his safety.

((Thanks to Rinoa!! Squall now has a reason to be here^^ XD))
He traced Rinoa hard. But he lost her again. He was not going to stop until he found her again. He promised her. He would protect her forever as long as his heart was beating steadily in his chest. He kicked up the pace as he ran through the woods. Where was she? Those eyes. He would never forget the way she looked at him that last time.
Squall had been searching all day long. And now it was even more darker in this place. There was no sun ever in the Realm of Darkness just dark clouds rolled...And at night, no starts filled the sky.....It was truly depressing here. Squall stopped running. To catch a breath. He was going really no where. He was looking for some one. His fiance'....His heart was thumping loudly in his chest....As he bent his hands down to his knees....He looked up with still standing like that.
Squall, heard the voices of others not far off. Maybe they were bad guys. He walked a ways towards where he could see them...Then he saw them as he hid in the bushes....Cloud? Zack? And....Who the hell was the third party? What the hell were two great heroes like Zack Fair and Cloud Strife doing here any way? Squall remained silent.....Cloud looked like he was pretty badly beat up....What had happened to him? It was now or never.....Squall knew the two Ex- SOLDIERS would hear him rustling around in the bushes....So it was now or never to make himself known to them.....
"Cloud?" Cloud was unable to register who had spoken to him....."Zack? What the hell happened?" He asked as he was a few feet away from them....

Zack FairZack picked up Cloud, who was so close to unconsciousness that he didn't respond except to mumble something. Pain glazed his eyes, but also fear. Fear, he could see plainly. it was written in his half closed eyes. Zack had seen Noctis coming, perhaps to give aid, but he sent a look his way telling him he would handle it. He could tell the hesitancy though in Noctis. He didn't seem like the outgoing, helpful type, although, he could probably be helpful to those that were his friends. Zack wondered if this man had any friends. Calm collected, he could be taken as cold and uncaring. Zack made friends easily, he always been that way, helpful and outgoing, it was hard not to like Zack. he thought of his friends, wondering how they were all getting along since he had been gone. Tseng, Cissnei, kunsel, Angeal, Sephiroth, Aerith, Cloud, and even the Turks had been his good friends, along with all the guys from SOLDIER. he shook his head, wondering why now, of all times, he was thinking about how his old friends were doing. He sighed, before shaking his head. He had Cloud's right arm around his shoulders, and mostly carrying him, he had his left arm around his waist. Cloud was trying to walk, but Zack was doing most of the work. Not that he minded, He was worried still about Cloud, but he knew his friend was a fighter. He didn't slow down hardly at all, even with carrying Cloud. Zack had practice in carrying him for long distances while he was unconscious. Zack wondered about who Noctis might be. He seemed withdrawn, cold, collected, like he didn't care about anything, yet here he was, ready to help them fight Sephiroth...at least until he heard about him. He was a little bit ahead of them, so he quickened his step. He tried to harm Cloud in the least, but it was unavoidable not to hurt him more. He glanced over to him at his wondering about Sephiroth. "Sephiroth...?" He sighed deeply, "Where do I start...?" He ran his free hand once more through his hair. "years ago, when SOLDIER was still around, Sephiroth was a 1st class SOLDIER, the best of his kind. He was better then most of the other SOLDIER members put together. there were very few 1st class SOLDIER's, and I, was one of them, later on. Gensis and Angeal, his best friends, who were also 1sts, went crazy, that was when I became 1st. Genesis, Angeal, and Sephiroth were human experiments before they were even born. And though they were all extremely strong, Sephiroth...he is...stronger then all of us. He is super human, and has many magical powers. All members of SOLDIER got...enhancements, but Sephiroth, he had part of Jenova in him..." Zack glanced sideways at Noctis, "I won't explain Jenova, because it would take to long, but All I can tell you, Is Sephiroth, is more powerful...then...anyone I have ever known! He is, not human, and doesn't act like one...he thinks he is the chosen one...a god..." That was all he said, and he hoped he had explained it well enough for him. Suddenly, he turned, Cloud in tow, whipping out his sword, his eyes hard. He had heard a noise. Suddenly he relaxed as Squall Leonhart stepped out of the brush. He heard his name, and then his question. he knew Squall a bit, so he was more comfortable with him the Noctis. "Squall?!" He sighed, "Cloud and I had a run in with Sephiroth..." He shrugged, "And...well, you can see what happened..." He put his sword back away, and his gaze looked at squall, "but that being said...what the hell are you doing here?! Why aren't you back in the garden with Rinoa?!"

There was another character making an entrance to the scene and he faced this one squarely, halting the processing of information Zack was feeding him. It was a man familiar to Zack and Cloud and who had a scar evident of battle experience. They must be friends... or on the same mission...? he guessed while glancing between the sighing Zack and this 'Squall'. The little hooded eyes were darting back and forth then eventually resting to look upwards at the black hole of a sky, reluctant to know how he was going to get to know this other man. After a while of watching their interaction and the loosening of tension in Zack because he had another 'friend' now, he had more to wonder about what they were speaking of. Rinoa? garden? These were as rootless as the whole Jenova and Sephiroth speech Zack made; he didn't understand any of it though the language itself wasn't alien. They are alien...
Noctis' mouth was zipped tight, pondering and deciding not to ask more questions; those would eventually explain themselves or when the time was right, have light shed upon. He was one to wait patiently as though he let fate carry him. What else was that Zack didn't seem like he would accept help from him regardless of how much that could benefit anyone, as long as it came between his and Cloud's friendship, things were a no go. That, set Noctis further apart from them than the barriers of being strangers could but he still had chances to influence what they could all think of him as. His reputation perhaps , was a mystery that he wouldn't reveal unless Zack pried for it. It wasn't something he could boast about or ...to be exact, he didn't know how to boast.
The exchanges ended and Noctis only realised... Zack didn't say... "Sephiroth happened..." and expect this... 'Squall' to know they had a battle; it was both intriguingly funny and yet blatantly saying...'Noctis, what the hell...who the hell doesn't know only Sephiroth does this type of damage? See' ... Supposing Sephiroth was an infamous evil who terrorised the rest of the world Noctis was isolated from that is.
The brief interlude in the space of his own mind, finally returned his voice to him. "But you know his power...and understand his magical techniques. In spite of that, no one finds a way to destroy him?" It was illogical to Noctis, he was simple only this way, in the sense that background checks always gave him the answer to his problems and he would approach Sephiroth with the same treatment. Perhaps he himself was just as ambitious in believing his fate to be different from others; his circumstances proved him correct to think so, currently.
"Sephiroth... is no enemy of mine." Out of nowhere he concluded. It'd probably drive Zack up the wall because it just made it seem like he would come to a mutual understanding with this 'Sephiroth' person. It appeared Noctis was no longer paying attention to how Squall would react to what he'd just said and the fact they were not formally introduced.

"Squall?!" "Cloud and I had a run in with Sephiroth..." "but that being said...what the hell are you doing here?! Why aren't you back in the garden with Rinoa?!"
Sephiroth huh? That maniac was here no surprise...."Rinoa's fallen into the Darkness....She used a spell to fight Heartless in our world. But it turned her. That's why I'm here. And not home. I've been tracking her for a while. She always disappears from me....Some one does not want me to find her...."
"But you know his power...and understand his magical techniques. In spite of that, no one finds a way to destroy him?" Squall ignored the new guys comments, but not really....It was not that simple defeating Sephiroth.....Just look at Cloud for crying out loud! "Sephiroth... is no enemy of mine." Squall then let out a laugh as he heard that comment plain and clear..."Oh he will be...." Squall replied as he looked at the new guy...... "You think you are all that right? Well, that's the first I've recognized from you....You don't care....Trust me you will....I'm not one to judge but, you need friends or some thing...Because you're all stiff and everything...." This was new coming from Squall....Squall was one in the past that like to work alone.....But since he fell for Rinoa....He's taken better care of the ones that care about him......His friends.....Squall could only imagine what Zack would say about this guy's comment....Squall knew how Zack was.....Squall looked over at the injured Cloud...He could see that Cloud was in pain because the blond did not even say hi to him.....And Squall knew why he hadn't now...... "I know a place we can stay....But we better hurry...Cloud looks terrible...."

Zack Fair
Zack listened in silence when Squall told him about Rinoa. He didn't know what to say. Rinoa, she meant everything to Squall. She was the entire reason that Squall had changed so dramatically. Before her...he had acted a lot like...well, Noctis. Cold, he had pushed everyone out of his life, rather being a 'lone wolf' then dealing with friends. He had been even mean to others, snapping at them, and he had never been able to be friendly with others.
That had changed, quite dramatically though. Rinoa had thought him to be, in Zack's mind, a human being. "Squall...I'm sorry man, about Rinoa!" He flexed the muscles in his arms, staying on top of things physically as well as he could. He shook his head, "Who wouldn't want you to find Rinoa?" he didn't have any idea who it might be. The sorceress was dead, Squall's group had defeated her, so who else might it be?
Zack turned his gaze once more to Noctis. He didn't quite know what to make of him. He seemed different at different times. But, he knew what Squall meant, this man, he needed to loosen up, be less cold toward the world. It was a downfall of many great people, not being able to let anyone in. He narrowed his eyes a little at his first comment, but didn't hold it against him, since he didn't know Sephiroth. he spoke to Noctis, "having worked with Sephiroth for months, yes, I do know a good deal of his magic's and abilities. However, he learns new abilities every time you next see him. He gains in power, especially since he had been in the life stream, that added many new powers to his list! He isn't human, and don't think you ever know all his abilities, because if you do, that will be your first downfall!"
Zack knew that Cloud, Squall and himself, they all had their purposes, but he didn't know Noctis' history in the least. He didn't mean to pry, but he hadn't told them anything about himself, although he was asking enough questions about them. He didn't move at all though. He wasn't sure about this Nocits. The last time he spoke, Zack didn't speak first, instead, he let Squall speak.
He closed his eyes for a second, breathing in and out. The fact that he said Sephiroth wasn't an enemy of his both irritated, and made Zack respect him at the same time. He looked away, into the distance, his eyes not showing that much emotion. It wasn't sunny, the dull grey cloud's floated darkly over them, the mood was not one of hope of lightness. He didn't like it here, it felt to much of....Sephiroth, and every other kind of evil he could think of. "Even if you are not his enemy, if you are good, or have good in you, you will become his enemy...so choose wisely when you meet him!"
He spoke slowly, thoughtfully. Noctis was right not to go off half cocked about who the enemy was. After all, they didn't know anything about each other. For all Noctis knew, Zack, Squall and Cloud could be the villains. He looked into his blue eyes, which still held some ember color in them. He stood up strait then, matching his gaze, "I will let you decide for yourself who your enemy is...I cannot, and will not push you into a decision!" he spoke firmly, with authority behind his voice, but his voice and his eyes also held a warning. If Noctis decided that Sephiroth was going to be his allies, Zack would personally fight him, and he wouldn't care, because those that sided with Sephiroth, were his enemies.
His head turned to Squall, "Yeah, Cloud isn't doing that great...We were doing pretty good, until Sephiroth came out with a Magic I've never had to deal with before, never seen the like of it..." He shrugged, "It hit Cloud instead of me, and then I got us the Hell outta there!" Zack wasn't a coward, even when he knew that he was outmatched, he still went in. Like when he had decided to stop running and face the entire Shinra army so that Cloud would have a chance to escape. He glanced at Squall, "lead us to the Place Squall, I would sure like Cloud to be able to rest!" he glanced at Noctis, he had seen a look on his face some times. He had kept glancing at Cloud, like he knew something Zack didn't. He had lost his most powerful materia, and he wished he still had it.
He had materia that had been able to heal, at least somewhat, but he didn't have it. Something told him Noctis had something like that, but he wasn't going to ask yet. If Cloud got any worse, he would confront Noctis, and either, Cloud would get treatment, or he wouldn't. Just because he had the ability to heal, didn't mean Zack was going to let him touch Cloud. it would all depend on the actions of the dark, almost brooding character in front of him. He hoisted Cloud on his arm better, and continued once again. Every once in awhile he could hear Cloud moan, but other then that, no words came from his mouth.
