Snow Villiers
Snow sighed and checked his watch. He had called Lightning a few hours before, telling her that they needed to talk. Though her voice had been without emotion as normal, he could tell that she was angry, angry at him, for hearing his voice, but he couldn’t help that now could he! She probably had no idea what he wanted to talk about, although other then one thing, he wasn’t so sure either. Tifa, whom he had met at the bonfire, and who also knew Lightning, had persuaded him that he should talk things out with Lightning. Personally, he hadn’t thought it was all that great of an option, but it was worth a shot.
Lightning wasn’t the type to talk things out, not that he was worried about her actions, but he did know she hated him. For what? He didn’t exactly know, but from the first second, she had hated him. Was it because he didn’t bow down and kiss her feet? He didn’t suck up to her? Or the fact that she thought he was taking Serah away from her? She claimed it was because he couldn’t take care of Serah, but that was just an excuse, or so he thought.
He leaned against his bike, parked a few hundred feet from the old ruins, which had started the whole I’Cie thing. He remembered the last time he had been here, Serah had become a member of the I’Cie. He didn’t know if she had told Lightning yet, probably not, or she would have told him. He kept telling Serah that Lightning wouldn’t hate her for being a member of the I’Cie, but he also understood why she was hesitant.
He wished he could rewind that day, and hadn’t let Serah go to those ruins. He knew how much she loved them, and didn’t think it would be dangerous to wait outside…but that had been the start of things. He had asked Serah to marry him just a short time ago, and had told Serah that he would tell Lightning. If she was going to get mad at either of them for being together, he wanted her to get angry at him. After all, what did he have to loose? She already hated him.
Though he wasn’t exactly looking foreword to telling her, part of him wanted to see the shocked expression on her face when he did do so. He chuckled a little bit at the thought, wondering exactly how hard she would try to punch him. Serah had been worried that she would be mad at him, but he had made lightly of the fact that she would be mad. What she would be was intensely angry, getting out her blaze edge and trying to kill him, but he hadn’t told Serah that…
So now, he crossed his arms, continued leaning against his bike and tried to imagine the exact way he was going to tell her that he was engaged to her sister. He smiled while thinking about Serah, she was so perfect, and he loved her more then anyone, he just felt right when he was around her…but Lightning obviously didn’t care about that. He wondered if she would even come, part of him thought she just wouldn’t show up. He would just go find her if she didn’t come, because they had to talk, sooner or later…

Lightning frowned glancing down to her watch. It was time to meet with Snow, he called earlier asking to meet and discuss something important. She didn't know what it was about but then again she really didn't care. The last person she wanted to see again was Snow. She already had plans for the day and didn't have the time to meet up with him.
Unlike him she had a job her time was important and the last thing she needed was to waste it with someone like Snow. Whatever he wanted to say would only end up irritating her so it was best to avoid that and ignore his call.
Lightning sighed why was she even thinking about this anyway? No she shook her head to rid her mind of that thought and made her way down the streets of Cocoon. She was concerned for Serah but one thing she knew she wasn't with Snow that put her mind at ease. To her those two were not meant to be together.
'Snow is an irresponsible man no a child who doesn't know when to give up and leave when he is not wanted, a worthless unemployed man.' How can she accept someone like that to be with her sister? As a guardian and a sister it was her job to protect Serah, so how could she agree or even let someone like Snow come close to her...? Things had to change and starting with Snow she had to find a way to separate those two, she just could never accept anyone like Snow .
After reaching her post Lightning pulled her phone out her to check for messages or missed calls, nothing from Snow. Good maybe he would leave her alone now she thought returning her phone back to her bag as she stood there with her arms crossed waiting for new orders from her superior.

Snow Villiers
Snow crossed his arms and waited, his mind on different places. Lightning probably wouldn’t come, and ignore his call completely. That was her way, he knew that, but he still gave her some time before he called her again. He took out his cell phone again, but didn’t call her for a few minutes. He just stood there, looking down at his phone. He wasn’t exactly looking forward to this talk, but he would be happy that Lightning would know that she wouldn’t be able to break them up anymore, not that she ever stood a chance with them. He loved Serah, probably more then Lightning could imagine.
He shrugged a little bit, that wasn’t true, Lightning loved Serah very very much as well, but she was the only person he knew that Lightning actually knew how to express love for...
So he waited for a few more minutes, giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe her job had kept her away. Maybe she was on her way. He glanced at his watch one more time before sighing in disgust. Nothing, of course, that was Lightning. She acted completely professional, until it came to him. She had hated him from the first moment she had laid eyes on him, before she had even known that he was seeing Serah. She was unreasonable, but he couldn’t change that, and he was going to have to get used to it. He loved Serah so much that it didn’t seem like a hardship to deal with Lightning’s anger toward him.
Serah had been worried that she would be mad…which was an understatement of what she would be. He checked his phone, shook his head and redialed her number. He let it ring, and she didn’t pick up. Hanging up, he waited a few more minutes before calling again, this time leaving a message. “Lightning, we need to talk; I know you heard me earlier when I asked the same thing. This is important, it’s about Serah, and we need to sort a couple things out! I’m parked a few hundred feet from the old ruins…you know where I’m talking about, so meet me here, we do need to talk, whether you like it or not!” Hanging up, he yawned, stretched his arms and smiled into the distance.
Serah…his everything. She had accepted him when he asked her to marry him, and he couldn’t have been happier. He loved everything about her, from her gentle sweet love of other people, to her stubbornness when it came to something that she wasn’t going to back down from. The sparkle in her eyes when she was happy to the feeling of her soft hand holding his own. He sighed happily, his body relaxed as he waited for a call or an appearance of the woman he didn’t think would come. If she didn’t, then another day he would go to where she worked, but he really did want talk about this in private, it was better for both of them.

Lightning got Snow's message but wasn't too happy about it. She sighed shaking her head. 'Something important... I don't think I am going to like this.' She thought knowing that it would be easy to regret the decision to meet him, still if it involved her sister she had to know what it was.
Snow rarely called her, actually he never did this was the first time. He knew her feelings towards him Lightning made sure of that the first day they met yet he refused to leave her and Serah alone. Lightning wasn't giving up though and was determint to find a way to separate those two. 'Serah would never be happy or safe with Snow... he would abandon her at the first sight of trouble.' That was what she believed and for that she couldn't accept Snow.
With another sigh she turned leaving her post to head in the direction of the old ruins. She ignored other calls as she made her way to the place and saw Snow with his bike parked.Lightning frowned at his sight but made her way to where he was. "This better be important..." She said crossing her arms as she stood there ready to hear what he brought her all this way for.

Snow Villers
Snow waited for a long time, sitting there. He had better things to do then wait, but wait he did. He had to talk to Lightning about Serah and himself. He didn’t care if she hated him for asking her sisters hand in marriage, but he did have to tell her. Serah had offered to tell her, or at least be there when he told her, but he had refused. It was his place to tell her himself, he hoped she respected that. She would try to punch him, maybe even whip out the blaze edge, would she threaten to kill him? He smirked a little bit at the thought. Why Lightning was always so ridiculous around him he didn’t know, but she sure hated him.
Serah claimed that Lightning could be happy, and laughed sometimes, he had never seen her like that. He would like to see it someday, just to see if Lightning smiling even existed. He personally didn’t think so, but that was just him. If Serah said something though, he believed it. He shrugged, this wasn’t going to be the day he would see her smile. She would hate him more, but he hoped she wouldn’t be mad at Serah at all. The entire point of keeping Serah away when he told her was so that she wouldn’t have to see Lightning get angry.
He looked up to see Lightning approaching him. He straitened up from leaning against the bike. He readied himself, preparing himself for her anger. He mirrored her by crossing his own arms. “Hello to you too Lightning…” he said with a little bit of a smirk. He could see she was already pissed that she had had to come. Probably the only reason was because he had said it involved Serah. Other then that why would she come? Not to hear what he would say about him. He sighed, “Well, your not gonna like this Lightning, but I had to tell you, and your going to have to listen…”
Rubbing the back of his neck, he wondered how he should start. Just blurt out ‘hey, ya know what? Serah and I are engaged!?’ probably not…she would probably just try to poke his eyes out or slice his arms off…He also wondered why she hated him so bad to begin with. “Lightning…I’m glad you came out, I was about to come into your post if you had been any later!” He grinned at her, but she didn’t match the look. He sighed a little bit. “Lightning, this isn’t what I have to tell you, but first…why do you hate me do damn much?” He glanced at her, “I know that you think I won’t be able to take care of Serah, but I don’t think that’s all of it…”

Lightning stopped and folded her arms waiting to hear the reason she came for. She wouldn't be surprise if he couldn't protect her and now telling her Serah was in trouble. That was the one main reason why she came to help her sister if she really was in trouble.
She frowned at the sight of him but remained silent as she waited for the reason she came for. "I didn't come here to hear what you have to say... just the part about Serah. You said something about her tell me what it is so I can leave I don't have time to waste.... Unlike you I have a job to get back to."
She frowned again once he mentioned he would come to her post. If he did her only response would be to punch him. She was actually resisting to do this now. "I don't think that would have been a good idea and if I was late don't you think its because I didn't want to come or maybe had better things to do?"
She remained calm as much as she could be around Snow. and tried to resist the urge to punch him as he smirked. that only provoked her though and his words added to her anger. She recalled the first time they met. Her feelings towards him from that day still didn't chance, the only thing that did was her determination to get him away from Serah.
She lifted an eyebrow at his question. "Why? Your arrogant and irresponsible, you hate to follow rules and pretend to be a hero when your not. Your a child in so many ways how can I trust you to keep Serah safe? Someone like you won't be able to accomplish that. You don't even have a job..."
She shook her head she has already said enough about why she disliked him. no need to add more even when there were other reasons, she would just be wasting her time and breath it wasn't like he would change any time soon.
"This isn't why I am here Snow tell me what about Serah I am tired of waiting" She added with another frown now rethinking the reason she was there. Was it really important? If it involved Serah she had to know was her last decision.
