Xigbar smirked to himself as he pounded his feet into the ceiling. He had heard of this place before. From one of his…‘good friend’s.’ To be more specific, he had heard of this place from Xaldin. The place where he, Xaldin, ultimately ended up dying. He didn’t mourn, didn’t cry, didn’t lament for him. How could he? He had no emotions. He could feel no sadness when his friend went. Hadn’t Demyx been closer to him than Xaldin had? If you didn’t know the answer, it was yes. If Xaldin could be considered a friend, Demyx would have been more like a best friend. The kid made him laugh with his antics. He was just…hilarious in that way. Not that Xigbar could actually feel the warmth inside his stomach like he had once remembered came whenever you laughed. That was gone. Gone from when he was still Braig. In a way, he wished he still had those emotions, not like he was going to complain. If he could still remember them, then he still had them. At least, he still had them like that in his mind.
It wasn’t as if he was going to complain and run off like Roxas had. He clenched his fist together. Just thinking about the kid, the one he used to call Tiger, angered him lately. It had been that kid-technically it had been his Somebody, Sora, but it was close enough-that had killed him. The one who had killed majority of the Organization. Now that he thought about it, every single one of the Organization members, Roxas included, was killed by the Keyblade. Xemnas had. Or at least, he thought Xemnas had. He couldn’t really confirm it considering he hadn’t seen Xemnas or sensed him around. He had, and so had Xaldin. Well, theoretically, Vexen hadn’t been killed by a Keyblade wielder. He had been killed around a Keyblade wielder, though, and Xigbar figured that that counted. He wasn’t too sure about Lexaeus or Zexion, but he was pretty sure they had been killed by either Sora or by that one other kid with the grey hair that could wield a Keyblade as well. However he was. He could honestly care less about it.
Saix had as well, and that made him laugh. That younger member deserved it. Especially when he thought he was better than anyone else just because he could suck up to Xemnas like nothing. Axel had perished by the Keyblade wielder as well, and not technically by him. Again, he counted it. Demyx, his best friend, also met his end by Sora, although he still wasn’t sure why that was. Demyx wasn’t a fighter, anyone could tell. So, why would the brat kill him? Honestly, out of all the members inside the Organization, Demyx had been the more innocent one, including Roxas and Xion, although she wasn’t in the Organization. Luxord, who he had been on relatively good terms with, also met his match with Sora. Luxord was a tough one to beat, especially since he could just freeze you within time and take you out like nothing. It make him wonder if number X hadn’t just underestimated Sora. Marluxia, the leader of the first batch of traitors, had faded as well, and it made him laugh like nothing when he had first heard about it.
He had also laughed when Demyx rejoiced that Larxene, another one in the first batch of traitors as well as the Organization’s only girl, had faded and wasn’t coming back, either. Roxas had gone back to Sora-hadn’t he?-and had therefore met his match within the internal struggle between Nobody and Somebody. Xion, although she wasn’t a member, had died by Roxas’ hand. Xigbar shook his head as he teleported to the front steps of the Castle and stretched. The Beast, for some strange reason, wasn’t there, but he didn’t care. He could always come back another day and provoke him. For now, he would just have to wait and see who showed up. If it happened to be the Beast, then so be it. If it happened to be someone else, well, wouldn’t that be fun?

Luxord had wandered about Port Royal for as long as he could manage. Not even all the rum in the world could bring back his emotion, but he didn't care... Or rather he couldn't care. He sortof liked the whole 'no emotion' thing. It made it easier to play games with the other member's of the organization. Xigbar was the best at keeping a 'pokerface' about him, making an intresting foe. But all of that aside he was curious to see the world that Xaldin was so obnoxiously infatuated with.
Black tendrils licked at the floor as Luxord stepped out of a dark bubble on the bridge leading to castle. Right off the bat Luxord noticed the architecht. "Hmm... Intresting work... Indeed tis nice. I can see why our windy friend loved it so..." At that point Luxord felt the presence of a certain nobody. Surely it wasn't possible? Had fate brought him to this castle for a reason? Luxord steped towards the opened gates into the courtyard to find none other than the Freeshooter himself.
"Well well, if it isn't a fellow friend? Finding the detail of this obnoxiously infatuatant abode lulling?" He stepped toward the fellow member and grabbed his chin, "What I mean to ask is... 'How have we been?'"

Xigbar turned around and let out an amused, yet fake, chuckle “Well, well, well, if it isn’t the great Gambler of Fate, himself. The big number X, the wielder of Time. Have I left anything out?” He smirked and took a step forward extending his hands outwards. “What brings you here to the land of which III perished?” He asked raising an eyebrow. He had been here just for the sake of wanting to see what was so interesting about this place and why Xaldin had spent so much time here. It was just an added bonus, really, that he happened to come upon Luxord.
He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back to examine Luxord. From the last time he had seen him, the Gambler hadn’t seemed to change at all. He still had the short blond hair, the piercing blue eyes, and the short goatee. “Have you happened to come upon any of the other members? So far, you’re the only person I’ve seen. I guess I should have gone to Port Royal first, eh?” he let out a laugh. Luxord was actually one of the members he managed to get along with, some of the others he had thought of before. Yet, Luxord wasn’t one to linger around back then. Was this time around actually different? He’ d have to wait and see
“As for your question, I’ve been as fine as I should be for not having a heart.” He winked. “But, I’m looking for a bit of revenge. Most of it at the little tyke who managed to kill us all in the first place.” He grit his teeth together before continuing. “If I managed to get my hands on our little Key of Destiny, and our little Poppet, then, so be it. But, enough about my little problem. How have you ‘been’, Luxord?” [/color][/blockquote]

"Heh heh..." He half-heartily... Well as best he could... laughed. Xigbar had nigh but changed. He had the same sick humor too. Luxord enjoyed that simple fact about him, no matter the situation, Xigbar had a terribly, awful joke to follow it. "You did forget one thing... You forgot 'The master of Venacular'. That is key my cycloptic friend..."
“What brings you here to the land of which III perished?”
"What else but the every changing hand of fate? Well that and a bit of curiousity. I wondered what exactly the Windbag Lancer had seen in this wretched castle. Besides the architecht it's terrible here..." He stroked his chin in thought. Why did the Lancer hang about here? Surely the Beast's heart wasn't that tantalising? He refocused his mind back onto the one eye'd gunman as he began speaking.
“Have you happened to come upon any of the other members? So far, you’re the only person I’ve seen. I guess I should have gone to Port Royal first, eh?”
"I could care less about the other's. I wouldn't mind playing a hand or two with Vexen. He's so easy to beat." Vexen's defeated face crossed his mind, but the angered face of a very agitated Larxene overpowered it. He shook his head to shake the image. "Besides, you know as well as I that many of the other member's didn't care for my constant games... Fools the lot of them. But eh?" he shrugged, "Tis there loss I suppose."
Luxord remade eye contact as the Freeshooter spoke again. He listened to the mock anger in his voice and let the nobody quickly cool before continuing.
"My my... Simmer down, friend. It's like tea time all over again. What can I say? When I must fold, I fold. You must learn to play the game with losses. That being said... I'd 'love' to take my time wrining his worthless neck. As for how I've been? Why what do you think? I've been living with a gamble at everyturn! I mean your not living if your not gambling, eh?"

Xigbar shrugged innocently while playfully snapping his two fingers together. “Well, I guess I can’t win them all. Especially when going up against you.” He gave him a half smile. He was only teasing. Then again, he never won anything if Luxord was, indeed, the one he was going up against. Unless it was a fight, but he hadn’t ever attempted to get into a fight with Luxord, even if it was just a spar. That certainly wouldn’t be any fun. Particularly if one of them weren’t careful about their little spar, and they ended up making the other fade. “Windbag Lancer?” Xigbar chuckled slightly and shook his head. “I wasn’t aware you didn’t ‘get along’ with Xaldin.” he shrugged himself. “I came here hoping to fight that little beast and engage him in battle. Unfortunately, for me, the guy’s not here.” He sighed, pretending to be sad about it. Pretending was the keyword. He was a firm believer in the fact that he refused to think he had a heart. He’d been there when they all took the chance and went against the orders, and they were paying for it now.
He couldn’t feel, and he figured it was both a blessing and a curse in one. However, he could hardly care less, if he could, because it was both an advantage and a disadvantage at different times. While fighting, the notion that you could kill someone wasn’t there. The guilt that usually came along after you killed someone wasn’t there, either. Then, you couldn’t feel love, which was a disadvantage, and you couldn’t feel happiness either. So, the feeling one got whenever they managed to defeat someone was gone. “Vexen. Now, there’s a face I wouldn’t mind never seeing again. Always with that sour scowl on it because the younger ones, such as yourself, aren’t paying enough respect to him. As if he deserved the respect.” He laughed. Many of the other member’s didn’t like his games because they thought him to be cheating. For all Xigbar knew Luxord could have very much been cheating, but that didn’t stop him from having a good time about it regardless.
He found the younger Nobody to be good company, as were most of them. They were ‘fun’ to be around and helped passed the time. If he spent as much time with the other members, such as Xaldin or Vexen, he might have been as boring as they were. “That’s cause you’re a cheat, Luxord, and you know it.” He laughed to show he was merely teasing. “They just don’t understand that’s what makes the game so fun.” He couldn’t help but think of which members were likely to throw a fit that they lost. Vexen, of course, would be there, and would Xaldin, too. They just had foul ‘temper’s’ that made them dislike losing. Axel wouldn’t have minded too bad, but he would have been somewhat angry at first. Marluxia and Larxene were also two he thought would get very aggravated at losing.
“How could I simmer if I wasn’t exactly angry in the first place? It’s not as if I can actually feel the fake anger flowing through my friends, Gambler.” Xigbar stated very plainly. He thought those Nobodies, such as Roxas, who thought they could feel were foolish. They were idiotic. They were hilarious, but that was beside the point. “I’d like the game a heck of a lot more if it meant that all the loses were on their side. The fool just didn’t understand. It was as if it were a crime to get our hearts back, right?” He took a deep breath in before laughing. “Maybe that’s your philosophy, Lux, and, might I add, what a lovely philosophy that is.” But he scoffed. “It’s just a shame no one else can look at it from your point of view.”

Luxord laughed, an all to fake laugh ,of course, in response to the statement about his own philosophy, "But don't you see? Only fools can not see the beauty of it. It's something that I've learned to live with."
But all of this talk of bumping into old member's and the game's he had played with him got him to thinking about one member in particular, Xemnas. Luxord was one of the last few to perish, and too see some of Xemnas' true nature. Since then he asked himself about what Xemnas' had truly wanted out of Kingdom Hearts. Was it really for all the Organization's benefit? Or for his own? Luxord thought to ask Xigbar's opinion on the matter...
"I have had one thing on my mind... Maybe I'm skeptical out of an old gambling habit, but do you think that the Superior was in it for our benefit as well as his own?"
It wasn't exactly hard for Xemnas to betray the rest of the Organization. They did lack a proper set of emotions... But if he had been bent on that track, then Luxord wasn't sure if he'd rejoin.... What the hell was he thinking?! Of Course he would!! He enjoyed the game far to much -or at least the memories it triggered of joy- and wasn't one for quiting cold turkey.

Xigbar merely chuckled and shook his head. He crossed his hands over his chest before leaning his head back to get a better look at the castle from below. Granted, it was dark outside, and, therefore, hard to see the entire castle, but he still managed to see most of it. It was nothing like Castle Oblivion, or like the Organization stronghold castle. Unlike the other two, this one actually looked as if it had some warmth leaking out of it while the other one merely held bitter memories. “Fools. I’m beginning to wonder if that’s not what we all were.” He had, of course, been talking about all of them and in a serious tone that was very much unlike him.
He let out a small “Hmm.” as he thought. There was no doubt in his mind, now, that Xemnas was not in it for all their gain. Sure, he would continue to lead them all into believing that that’s what he was trying to do, but, ultimately, he’d get his own heart and completely abandon them into trying to get their own hearts. Now, Xigbar was no traitor. He’d still be loyal to the Organization, that was for sure. He wouldn’t be like the last members that joined starting, specifically, after Luxord. To be perfectly honest, he wasn’t sure in the slightest big, actually. He couldn’t bet munny, although he would, that Xemnas wouldn’t just get his own heart and leave as fast as he could, nor could he prove that Xemnas would actually stay until every last one of them got their hearts back. He simply couldn’t tell with the Superior.
“As if.” Xigbar answered finally shaking his head. “I have no doubt in my mind that Xemnas would just wait until he got his own heart before leaving us behind confused like little lost puppies.” He let out a sigh. “You saw how he was in the end, too. Back then. He was willing to sacrifice the rest of us, seeing as that’s what he did, in order to get Roxas back. He killed us all, and, ultimately, himself and he still never got XIII back. Though, I suppose not all the blame was on Xemnas, himself. We were no smarter. We followed him, after all.” He took in a deep breath before thinking. What if they had all revolted and overthrown Xemnas? Granted, they’d have to find another leader, one that was actually capable of doing the job right, but-no. He wouldn’t think like that. He refused to think like that.
“Not that I’m a traitor, mind you. I’m just saying we were all pawns in his game.”

Luxord smirked, "But aren't we just pawns in an even grander game?! I think it's time we found a new dealer for our next round, eh?" Luxord thought about it for a moment. It wasn't like they could just replace him with anyone... Marluxia and Larxene would both abuse the power. Vexen would make experimentations on all member's manditory. Saix... well nobody liked Saix... Luxord himself enjoyed the game far too much to take it seriously, and Xigbar... Well Xigbar didn't seem like the type that liked leadership.
"Hmm... I suppose it wouldn't be easy to pull of though... I guess that for now we're stuck with a possible backstab threat, but it beats an in charge Larxene?" Luxord scoffed at the thought. Xemnas beats Larxene any day.
"I myself am not a traitor either. I guess we'll just have to flip a coin on this one, eh? Lady Luck will have to decide this..." He did have a deck of Tarot cards, but he didn't like to rely on them for answers. Regardless of this thought though, he pulled the deck out, shuffled the cards, and flipped the top card over. It was none other than 'The Fool'. 'The Fool' symbolized neither a good nor bad answer, more like the posibility of both. It meant the start of a major event, and Luxord was unsure of what.

Xigbar shook his head while letting a grin grace his lips. It was true what he said. They were all just pawns in the game of life. In the same game of life they had all managed to cheat, twice. Once when they had first lost their hearts, and once more whenever they had all faded and come back. Although, he mused, it was more like they had all cheated death rather than life, but it was all the same thing in the end. “A better dealer we can not find, my friend. Unfortunately for us all, none of us fit the bill.” He paused. “Although, to be fair, it’d either have to be Xaldin, Zexion, or you.” He shrugged. “If Xemnas had his pick, though, it’d be Saix.” He laughed. “But as if anyone would ever listen to him.”
He gave a sigh and shook his head. In reality, Luxord was right. Overthrowing Xemnas and taking over the Organization, all while appointing a new Superior, wouldn’t be as easy as it sounded. And, even with that, it didn’t even sound like an easy thing to do. Especially when Xemnas basically had more powers than all the rest of them combined. “The Savage?” Xigbar shrugged, though a smirk found it’s way onto his lips. “To tell you the truth, I’m not exactly sure about that. Take her away from Marluxia, and we have no clue how she’ll act. Then again,” he sighed. “Maybe it would have been better if I had just left her.”
He laughed and shook his head. “Although, you had to admit. She did provide entertainment before she faded.” It was true enough. Larxene had always managed to provide him, at least, with a couple of laughs while she chased after Axel for one thing or another. “Which leads me to wonder, Luxord, if Lady Luck is the only Lady you’ve ever talked to.” He grinned slyly. When Luxord picked tried the Tarot cards, his eyes merely narrowed slightly and he gave the Gambler a confused look. Why would he mess around with those things anyway? It wasn’t as if he actually believed what they would tell him, did he?
