Kadaj
“So what if I'm a puppet? Once upon a time, you were too!”
Age: Unknown, probably 23 or so.
Family: Jenova his "Mother" and Sephiroth supposedly his "Father".
Race: Enhanced Human.
Side: Darkness.
Job: Remnant of Sephiroth.
Items: His sword, materia and his bike.
Accessories: None, he only wears his leather garments and always carries his sword beside him.
Personality: As Sephiroth's remnant, Kadaj's personality is very similar to that of Sephiroth. He is cold, evil, cruel, twisted and chaotic, plus he has the obsession of finding "Mother" and try to bring her back. He enjoys the pain of others and wishes nothing more then to make everyone suffer, as much as he suffered. What he does lack that differs him from Sephiroth, is his arrogant attitude and jealousy over Sephiroth, who he believes Mother likes best...
For Kadaj there are no "Friends", there are only allies, pawns really, to make plans go smoother. He even treats his siblings like so. He was born a natural leader and even though he is the youngest of the three, what he lacks in years he compensates in aggression and skill in swordsmanship.
Kadaj also follows the most sadistic path. For him, those not having relevant information are dismissed, he doesn't even think twice.
History: Kadaj and his siblings were "created" and raised for one single purpose, they were supposed to be a fail-safe. Should the mighty "Hero" Sephiroth fall in battle or become unable to comply with his duties, Kadaj and his siblings would take over as the protectors. But as Sephiroth became insane, so did his remnants. They also became obsessed with "Mother", Jenova. After word of Sephiroth's demise, Kadaj and his group were blind with rage, although they found some documents that belonged to their creator, they contained some interesting information regarding Kadaj's and Sephiroth's connection. The siblings searched everywhere for Mother's head, the key to Kadaj's reunion.
After a while, they discovered the location where the Turks hid Mother, although they got there a bit late and the Turks had already evacuated, taking Mother with them. The siblings were forced to think of another road to wards mother and so they started seeking their "Brother", Cloud Strife. From their little encounter, Kadaj found the location of Rufus Shinra using his underlings. He confronted him and explained what was the geostigma and it's purpose.
With a group of infected children brought to the Forgotten Capital, Kadaj proceeds to tell them that Geostigma is caused by their bodies rejecting Jenova's influence, and that her presence makes them brethren. Kadaj has the children drink from a pool of dark water, activating the latent "reunion instinct" in their Jenova cells. Cloud arrives afterward and battles Kadaj and his brothers. Outnumbered and weakened by his own Geostigma infection, Cloud is defeated but is saved by Vincent Valentine. It is at this time that Vincent reveals to Cloud what Geostigma is, and the impending rebirth of Sephiroth it could mean, although he doesn't yet reveal Kadaj's connection to Sephiroth.
With the reunion instincts of the children to guide them, the Remnants go to Edge, where Loz and Yazoo battle the Turks and Kadaj summons Bahamut SIN to attack the city. During the attack, Kadaj confronts Rufus again, and confirms that Sephiroth is about to be reborn. After Cloud and his friends defeat Bahamut SIN, Rufus reveals Jenova's head in a box concealed under his cloak. Casting the box off the building where they're standing, Kadaj leaps after it and catches it. The ensuing chase between the Remnants and Cloud along the highways into Midgar apparently kills Yazoo and Loz. Kadaj gains the lead and stops at the Sector 5 Church to inspect Jenova; he is promptly horrified at what is left of her and cries. Cloud bursts in, and an enraged Kadaj attacks him. However, Aerith calls a geyser of healing water to erupt from the flowerbed, wounding Kadaj and causing him to flee. The water also cures Cloud of his Geostigma.
Cloud confronts Kadaj outside the ruins of Shinra Headquarters. Kadaj is unaware of what to do with Jenova's remains now that he finally has them; when Cloud points this out, he attacks. Now that he is cured and back to his full strength, the battle ends with Cloud as the victor and Kadaj hanging from the edge of a tower. With no other option, he leaps into the air and absorbs Jenova's cell into his body, leading to the recreation of Sephiroth moments later. After Sephiroth is defeated, Kadaj is reformed from his dissolving remains, and he attempts a half-hearted attack on Cloud but collapses into his arms, mortally wounded. Weakly calling him "brother", Cloud holds him while Aerith speaks to Kadaj from the Lifestream. Believing her to be Jenova, Kadaj calls her "Mother" and happily dissolves into the Lifestream with her guidance.
For some reason, Kadaj is back from the lifestream and his goals are still unclear. He wishes to revive mother, although it's unsure if he'll even bother confronting Sephiroth. What will he do now? Only time will tell.
