The wind swirled in a momentarily violent motion; blurring a spot in the space facing the cityscape. This place was a platform overlooking the splendid architecture of a nation under constant and sudden seige. It showed off itself well and gave more reason to why the crystal was resting under its protection; it looked handled and capable as the sun's golden-red rays created shadows behind the figure who stood staring into its centre.
Noctis' hair swished with the movement of stepping out of the portal he had come through; the teleportation simply kept him a private person so normally the drive to wherever, in a car filled with friends, was all that made him normal. Like those who were walking, living and breathing down below him in the streets, who could not see him where he was alone, he shared only a common interest in calling the very ground he stood on, his home.
His booted feet carried him to the edge and he sighed silently, breathing the air that was much less gloomy than in the throne room. The prince stood solemnly, lost in concentration on his urge to protect and do justice to the service his parents had done for his people long before him. His gaze softly lowering, he listened to the noise of the bustling city and a flicker of his eyes alerted himself to his shyness, suddenly realising he was in the public again; the indifferent expression readily fixed on his face now, to keep his nerves and draw away attention from strangers who may approach though he could not imagine anyone wanting to be where he was when they had much better things to do. The deep truth being that he was intimidated and more apprehensive about his actions than those who approached him, for anything other than combat and conflict.

Oerba Dia Vanille came along, and came near to the guy, and she wanted to make sure that nothing bad will happen. She just looked at him, and she smiled. "Hello I'm Oerba Dia Vanille." Oerba said. Oerba just wanted to make sure that she was making sure he won't attack her she has her Bind Rod by her side.

Almost spinning on his heel, Noctis turned swiftly but not giving away that he was startled, his foot only moved by an inch in rotation. As he'd just had a self reflection and something related to that had happened immediately after, he should've been wide eyed and he was relatively so. Had he expressed himself ungracefully, he would've deemed himself as failing to keep up his impartiality and straightened himself in speculation, of who or what was in front of him.
Blinking, he averted direct eye contact with who he was seeing. This was a moment like the time when he'd just gone up the stairs and had a slow motion replay of Stella turning around to smile at him, and him being completely clueless and all the more troubled in an instant. Snapping back from that unpleasant thought, Noctis found himself looking upon a girl and his communication problems with an odd optimism. Relaxing gradually, he could peer at her again under the loose strands of his fringe and tilted his head slightly, conjuring up another miniature whirlwind to vanish and reappear a few feet closer to this stranger while she was already near him.
Her cheery self distracted him from noticing that she had a bind rod so he judged she was harmless, but he wasn't about to physically assault her or anything of the sort, and opened his mouth to say "You're not from here ...are you?" It was like a blurted statement, he shouldn't have asked so quickly... she seemed nice...but the fact he rarely met females made it very awkward, especially when they smiled. "Noctis Lucis Caelum..." She gave him her full name so he felt it was fair to do the same, except he tried to continue with a conversation before she could put him on the spot with something he couldn't answer, but found his voice trailing off."You surprised me. I wasn't expecting..."

"I am from around here, and so sorry about that my age is unknown of course." Oerba said. Oerba looked at him, and she smiled once again. "Nice to meet you Noctis Lucis Caelum I don't feel right calling you anything but Noctis so sorry about that." Oerba said. Oerba had to make sure that nothing went wrong with this meeting. "I would love to be your friend, Noctis as close as friends would be." Oerba said.

Noctis was truly stumped. No one in the light of his day and night had ever said they wanted to be friends, as close as can be. It just made no sense, considering she didn't know him at all and he was a completely hostile and awkward character. He was sure she could see it in his eyes even if his face gave nothing away, and almost stuttered but composed himself listening to a replay of her voice in his head.
"Is it right to call you Oerba, or Vanille...then...?" What am I saying, and why am I so unsure of everything... I am thrown off guard but maybe she is like this because she does not know who I am. How can that be if she is from around here? But lest that be true, I shall keep my identity a secret for now... "Nocte or Noctis is fine." He had repeated this line over to so many whom he believed he could trust and then added"A friend indeed... I cannot help but wonder if you are sure...?" So saying this, he hoped she could see the genuine curiousity and that he meant nothing offensive.

"Vanille is fine, and yeah I am sure I want be your friends as close as I could be, Noctis." Oerba said. Oerba looked at him, and she smiled. She just know the curiousity on his face that's why she wanted to be his friend. "I know we can be good friends I'm likeable as long as nobody tries to know my tragic past." Oerba said. Oerba looked at him, and she wanted to make sure that nobody tries to make snooped into her past she awfully mysterious in her own way. "I don't know my age." Oerba said.

"Ah..hah..." Unable to contain it, it seemed Noctis had laughed then quickly retracted what was done by pausing and shifting his eyes. "You saying about a tragic past, probes me to want to ask. However I am sure it'll be better if there come a time and you openly tell me instead." He was different this way, he had no reason to force his curiousity or interests on other people, since he hated being pushed but had lived to oblige all this time, wishing he didn't know his age so he wouldn't remember being crowned a prince and protector.
"...If you're so confident we'll be good friends, then, may I ask how you are from around here and do not feel like I am unapproachable?" He was mentally memorising her name, because what she was saying...had it been of deeper content, would've all gone over his head.

"Well okay I was born in the Sera tribe I'm different than normal humans, and my parents died when I was young so I was taken away by the Sanctum, and I live over there in that Sera village." Oerba said. Oerba looked at him, and she just looked around. She just wanted to make sure that nothing would be fine she was just kept from being around people. "I killed the bear with my own hands, and made this fur pelt." Oerba said. Oerba looked at him, and she just didn't know that she is still talking. "I find you to be great to be around." Oerba said. Oerba looked at him, and she giggled she just gotten this sad look on her face.

"I...am glad you think so..." What else could he say that didn't make her think he was void of feeling or just defunct from being a normal human too. He was intrigued though, that she was of the sera race and had begun telling him of her life story when he hadn't asked. She seems pleasant he thought while he scanned her, her ponytails reflecting the sunlight and her jewellery more colourful than anything he'd seen worn. If she hadn't said she was different, he would've assumed so anyway but the fact she killed a bear to make the pelt a piece of clothing proved she could potentially harm him so he had been wrong.
"Why are you here Vanille...?" For a moment she looked sad, and he had only absorbed the sound of her giggling no sooner than he could process her forwardness. "Not to say that, you're unwelcome...but I am duty bound to be elsewhere mostly, so I am afraid friendship is difficult...how you can be so care-free of making friends...with me...puzzles me." Noctis let the words slip, his anxieties and realism taking over the fun that could've been. "It is a sorrow to hear you have a tragic past...I am much less interesting."

"I really like you of course, but it just I wanted to be friends with you if you don't find me to be at least at all likeable I will leave I guess." Oerba said. Oerba just turned around, and she didn't know what else to do she never had anyone who didn't act to like her she just grab onto her bracelet and threw it down the same one that Sera has to wear. She just sat on the ground, and cried she didn't care about herself anymore. "I could be older than you or younger I don't know, but it doesn't matter if you want to go there's the way out you don't have to see me anymore." Oerba said.

Blank, Noctis felt like he had completely lost it. This was the first time he had seen a girl cry in front of him, or rather seemed to have been made upset by him when he didn't intend it. Well, he never intended anything outrageous or ... He let his thoughts end there and opened his mouth to object to what she had said because none of it was true but found his words couldn't come coherently. It must be a very sensitive subject or something that made her like this, she perhaps didn't believe in herself as much as he did. It was all too confusing and Noctis reached out to her, almost grabbing her to stop her from leaving when she turned around but then she plopped herself on the ground and he brought his hand back to his side. His actions were a bit late. "Why do you keep mentioning about your age like it is an issue...? Is something on your mind...I didn't want you to go anywhere..." wow that was ...uncalled for...does this type of thing work? Her display was evoking some very foreign emotions in him.
The prince shook his head and looked on the scratched surface of the ground then knelt down to lower himself to her level. "I...like you too?...Vanille, I truly didn't know how to present myself to you..." He sounded so unsure but he didn't know how it was going to come across to her and by which meaning, she meant. He just didn't like that he was failing miserably to contain her tears and naively adjusted himself to her situation; he was learning and she had to pardon him for being less than capable of treating a lady right. "But I have been honest with what I have told you...if you will accept that?"

Oerba looked around, and looked at Noctis. She just looked up at him, and she searched for that bracelet, and put it back on. "I do accept that." Oerba said. Oerba looked at him, and she kissed Noctis right on the lips. "My age isn't an issue its just a known fact that I'm not like others I can summon a Bahamut out from the tattoo on my body." Oerba said. Oerba kissed him once again on the lips, and she lifted them both up from being on the ground then dust herself off. She just looked at him, and she smiled at him. She just wanted to make she kissed him one more time, and so she did right in the same spot as the other two times.

Noctis felt his insides curl and then there was this cold wash that flushed his cheeks. He almost anticipated himself to blush but no such thing had happened before so it probably was safe to say he didn't except I can't see myself... He felt the soft texture of her lips and found himself looking at them after she pulled away; they were short and tempting kisses and very cursedly wanted. He was like any other person obviously, but he had never in his life been exposed like this.
It was difficult to absorb what she had said about the bahamut but then she said tattoo and body...and Noctis fell into the pit of doom whereby he prickled with a desire and yet he was opposed to it. He had lost his senses; completely lost it as he stared at her and stood up. Then she kissed him once more and it lingered, he knew how it must've looked that he gave in so easily but it was so special for one so imprisoned. Noctis touched her for the first time, at her wrist as she put the bracelet back and swallowed, it felt out of this world to be in contact with her but he didn't want to show it. Except at the same time, he thought it wasn't fair that she opened up like this and he pushed himself away; it was so wrong. "Vanille, I ...this is ..." He decided to shut up or he'd regret it, no one was watching him at last and he leaned over and closed his grip on her wrist and kissed her again. If it was so forbidden, then they would vanish as they part some time. He almost smirked with a sparkle in his eye and recomposed himself. "I'm not going to apologise for taking advantage of you like this."

"That is fine Noctis I don't mind at all." Oerba said. Oerba looked at him, and she just smiled at him. "If its so forbidden let it be that way I don't care at all." Oerba said. Oerba looked at him, and she returned the kiss. She just looked at him, and her eyes sparkled, and she just wanted to make sure that she kissed him again. Oerba just wanted to make sure that nobody would ever take them apart not now not ever. "I don't care now if I'm part of the Sera race." Oerba said.

"Hm...you don't know the terrible consequences that could come from it. From anything forbidden, but you have taken me away from my troubles by storm. I had stood here consumed in my responsbilities hoping to free myself..." His explaining malfunctioned and he couldn't carry on with it; it would be like a flood of words that didn't stand a chance against how she looked at him. Her eyes were so bright with this intensity and he softened up to her again despite the dark undertone of his newfound crisis vibrating in his voice.
Noctis wanted to tell her to care because nothing would work out; he wasn't negative, but he was overly realistic and this didn't go down well with romance. He never had it anyway and it was to be feared for one in his position. "The sera race doesn't make you distanced from me..." forget it for this time. "I know you don't care now, and neither do I."
Stunning, he thought...whatever he seemed to say to her showed a different side of him, but it wasn't going to last an eternity as he was going by the spur of the moment. Winging his idea of winning her affections. Today, Noctis would see himself in a mirror and find that he had fallen for a girl he barely knew, it was improper and illogical; it must be read as an infatuation he had been deprived of all his life. The turmoil in his head seemed to have a new distraction as every complexity started to jerk around like a badly arranged melody. "Vanille, show me...how I am supposed to be."
He almost demanded it, she wouldn't know that he could take her anywhere or find her at any time he wished so it probably sounded creepy for him to ask but she would understand soon enough. It was important they stood on the same plane of comprehension but he was afraid of her tears, and his own perplexed self.
