Sephiroth
Sephiroth walked silently, his footfalls making no sound on the ground. He was searching for his Mother. He had lost her along the way, and now, now he was searching for her once again. His green eyes flickered from one side of the castle he was in to the other side.
His long silver hair fluttered from the wind that came rushing through the castle. He had left the doors open, and with the storm that ragged on the outside, it was no wonder that the wind was strong enough to tear at his hair and clothes. His cape fluttered behind him, his expressionless eyes didn't show any emotion.
He stopped then. He had felt another being in his presence. he was going to be angry if it was a pitiful human. He didn't feel it was simply a human. Pulling his masamune from its sheath, he remained still, his green, almost cat like eyes searching the surrounding area. Would it be that Cloud figure? Or someone else? A past acquaintance perhaps?

"Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess We seek it thus, and take it to the sky Ripples form on the water’s surface The wandering soul knows no rest."
Genesis quoted that famous poem LOVELESS as he brushed his hair to the back preventing it to fall on his eyes and turned see Sephiroth. Genesis was there for hours but never expected any company. He sneered evilly as Sephiroth pulled out his sword remembering their past fights but now wasn't the time. "Is that how you greet an old friend Sephiroth?" he asked making his presence as he stepped out from the shadows.

Sephiroth
Sephiroth stood still, the long sword held firmly in his left hand. He heard the quivering poem being read. It brought back many memories. His back was turned toward Genesis...but he knew the ex SOLDIER well enough to know he wouldn't take immediate action against him. Genesis was the kind to talk and philosophize about everything. His hair fluttered around his face, his eyes, glancing to the right, his mind on the man he knew was behind him.
"LOVELESS again...you never change..." He spoke with a calm, collected voice, completely void of any emotion. He hadn't expected Genesis to be there. He had thought him dead by Zack's hand long ago. He didn't show any of what he was thinking however. At Genesis' words, Sephiroth narrowed his green eyes. "A friend Genesis...?"
Turning, his eyes glowed for a second, deadly, quiet. He had always been the better of them...and that had eaten away at Genesis. Never allowing them to actually be the friends Genesis made them out to be. For a moment, he sized Genesis up without even blinking an eye. Sephiroth had always wondered about he and Genesis' "friendship." He had always been closer to Angeal...and since Angeal had been friends with Genesis, he had tried to be as well.

Genesis laughed at that remark. It was true he never really changed even when he turned sides he was still the same. "But you did.... You're no longer a hero or someone tormented by his past. I see you finally accepted who you are." He said closing the book in his hands and placed it down on a table near him before walking closer.
"True.... we were more like rivals and I competed for you had but that's all in the past as you have nothing that interests me anymore." Being a hero, or the best in Soldier was what he once wanted, but after leaving that side he didn't care for that or about fighting Sephiroth who no longer carried those titles.
"My friend, the fates are cruel There are no dreams, no honor remains The arrow has left the bow of the goddess My soul, corrupted by vengeance Hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey In my own salvation And your eternal slumber Legend shall speak Of sacrifice at world’s end The wind sails over the water’s surface Quietly, but surely."
He quoted again brushing his hair back with a sneer as he looked at Sephiroth who still held his weapon in hand. "You still plan to fight me Sephiroth?"

Sephiroth
Sephiroth's eyes narrowed, but other then that, still no emotion showed. He wasn't ashamed of not having known about his origin, but now, he knew that he was the chosen one. He was a god, born from a god, and truly, his exhistance was higher then that of anyone elses. "Hmmph, you didn't know me Genesis...don't pretend like you did. I embraced where I came from, you on the other hand, never did. But then again...when your exhistance is meaningless, it is hard to accept your origin."
His green eyes flickered for a moment, becoming taunting. He knew Genesis hated being made out to be less then Sephiroth. Sephiroth had never been jealous of Genesis. He had always been the better of them, and Genesis had hated him for it. He stayed silent when Genesis continued quoting LOVELESS. He had never been fond of the play, probably because Genesis had beaten it into his head.
His face didn't change as he listened to the whispery words, yet, inside he cringed. He hated that play. He didn't have enough heart in him to enjoy it, it grated on his very being. He almost laughed at Genesis when he got excited over the fact that he held his Masamune in his hand.
"I do not feel like fighting someone so inferior to me..." Shrugging, his body was poised, yet relaxed. Genesis did not frighten him at all. "I have more important things to do...such as finding Mother once again." He slid his masamune back away, his eyes narrowed, focusing in on Genesis. Oh yes, he might be full of it, but after all, he was the chosen one, so he had the right to be.

"It might have taken me some time but I have accepted it..... however I didn't let it get to my head like you did" Genesis replied with a smirk. In the past he might have envied Sephiroth for being a hero once but now he no longer cared about that. Where where was the fun in being a hero? "The time for heroes is over and you don't hold anything I desire anymore."
"Even if the morrow is barren of promises Nothing shall forestall my return To become the dew that quenches the land To spare the sands, the seas, the skies I offer thee this silent sacrifice."
He finished quoting Loveless before turning swiftly to face his rival. "What no fight? and here I thought we were here to have some fun...." He let out a loud laugh at the mention of his mother. "Poor little Sephiroth your still on that quest to find your mother...? She is not ever alive so give it up."

Sephiroth
A hint of a smirk was up on his lips, and yet no amusement shone in his eyes. He looked at the man he had previously spent so much time with, and yet, he did not know him anymore. They had gone…separate ways, Sephiroth had simply become the chosen one. He outright chuckeled at Genesis when he spoke of being hero’s and how that time was over with. “So true…” He hesitated for only a moment before his eyes burned green. “I am the chosen one Genesis, my existence is not meaningless.” He looked at him up and down, Genesis did not seem to be degrading any more.
He did not show any emotion as Genesis quoted the last verse of Loveless. How he hated that poem. Genesis had always loved it though, so he had had it ingrained into his brain. He himself could quote the entire poem, but he never had in his entire life. He hadn’t seen Genesis in many years, since that day in the mako reactor. He remembered the degrading Genesis he had seen that time and smirked. “I see your not degrading anymore, however did you manage to stop it with your imperfect cells?”
Though Sephiroth had always been able to beat Genesis, being in the lifestream had only made him stronger. He smirked at Genesis as he seemed disappointed that he wasn’t there to fight. “Always ready to fail aren’t you Genesis.” He shook his head and narrowed his green cat like eyes. “You should be glad that I’m sparing you the disappointment of loosing as you always do.”
He did not even blink when Genesis as he always, spoke to him harshly about his mother. He smirked somewhat. “She did give me perfect cells Genesis, which make it so I cannot degrade. Are you still chasing the ‘Goddess?” He shook his head. “She is not alive now, but she will be, I have plans for that as well.” He didn’t know why Genesis kept trying to fight him, he kept failing. “Fun Genesis? Is it fun to fail?” He laid a hand on his masamune handle, his eyes glowing brightly.
