She could quite honestly say she had no idea what had compelled her to come here. Especially since she had never really visited this world while on her missions. Well, she had, but she hadn’t really paid attention to anything while she was here. Vaguely, she remembered Roxas and Axel telling her about this world. Maybe that had been the reason she came. If, indeed, that had been the reason, what did she think would come of it? Surely this would not be the very first world Roxas would visit. If anything, she should be in Twilight Town or Destiny Islands. Yet, she wasn’t. She wasn’t there, and she wasn’t sure if she wanted to go there.
Frankly, it was because those two worlds brought back unwanted memories. Memories which happened to belong to her, not Sora or Roxas. She didn’t want to go to Twilight Town only to be let down by the fact that Roxas, nor Axel, were there and then have to deal with the fact that that had been the place where she died, last saw both Axel and Roxas, and the place of which their friendship had blossomed to what it had been. It was for that same reason, or one remotely similar to it, that she didn’t want to visit Destiny Islands.
It had been the place of her nightmare. The place where she first learned Riku’s name, as well as the spot for two of her clearest memories. Waking up in Riku’s arms and talking about both Sora and his important person, Kairi. She also remembered sitting on the tree, between the standing Axel and the sitting Roxas, with her two best friends talking about Roxas and herself returning and watching the sunset. That, she was certain, was more than likely why she did not want to go to those worlds.
So, she settled for coming here and looking for them. Although, she wasn’t sure what she was doing here in the first place. She had died, willingly, and went back into Sora and Roxas. Yet, here she was. Here, seemingly alive-or as alive and Nobodies or Replicas or Replicas of Nobodies could get-, and not somewhere in the heart of the Keyblade Master. And what would she do if she found Roxas or Axel? Would they remember her as she remembered them? Or had they still not remembered her?
“What’s to become of me then?”

Another world. Another search. He could honestly say that he had found a purpose. But he was afraid, afraid that he still might hurt someone who was innocent. If was funny. He hadn't 'broken' in about three years, but he could still feel it in the back of his head. Scratching at the surface of his sanity.
Why was he on this world? Ship wrecked one would say. He was having some engine troubles and hoped that someone here could help him. Hopefully for very cheap. He didn't have any money at all. Let's sing pirate songs! Let's not and say we did. Don't be a puddin'! It be a great way to waste time. ... I'm not singing dude. Ya such a marshmellow. Okay. We can sing ninja songs? No? Fate sighed. He was readying to actually sing some lame pirate song to please Hope, but then he heard someone.
He looked up to see a figured that didn't look to be much taller than him. She was wearing a black cloak of some sort which was strange to Fate. Ten dollars says she's a cearal killer! Hide the Cap'n Crunch! Ugh... You're such an idiot. He didn't want to approach her to raise any hostilities. He stayed in his seated position on the ground with his back placed against the wall of a building.
"I ask myself the same question from time to time..."

“I ask myself the same question from time to time…” If whoever had spoken had managed to stand right behind her before he had spoken, he might have caught a glance at her face. Fortunately for her, whoever talked was not behind her. So, when she whirled around, she managed to grab the back of her hood and throw it on before stopping and staring at whoever had spoken. Her sapphire eyes searched upwards lowering and lowering until they landed on him. Swiftly, she lowered her head and took a step back, almost to get into a defensive pose so that she could be ready if a fight should ensue. Staying to her nature, Xion stayed quiet for the time being. It wasn‘t as if she didn’t trust this random stranger whom she didn’t know and seemed to appear out of no where. Wait, it was. She didn’t trust him. So, she’d be cautious and ready should he decide to attack. “…”
Slowly, she started to formulate a reply to that. Xion tried to see whether or not this fellow was a native from this world, or a traveler passing through such as herself. And, if he was a traveler, was he a regular traveler, a Somebody, or was he a searching Nobody such as herself? “I bet you do.” She said softly making a move with her hands. As if she wanted to move forward, but she didn’t move at all. Even though he hadn’t made a move to attack her yet, she still didn’t trust him. “But I bet you don’t ask yourself because you’ve been separated from your Somebody…and Nobody.”

She shrouded her face in darkness with her hood. It gave him the impression that she didn’t want to be seen. She had her reasons and Fate didn’t mind. As she took a step back he laughed slightly. He would have done the same if someone seemed to have shown up out of thin air. ”Stay easy. I’m not the hostile type.”
He was sure his words weren’t going to get her to drop her guard, but they were true. He wasn’t one to attack someone for no reason at all. Why she cover her face? I don’t know and I’m not asking. She got her reasons. I bet she’s a ninja! Ya think she has another cloak for us? Yeah… I’m pretty sure she keeps an extra cloak for recruits. Sweetness! Wait, ya bein’ sarcastic again?
”No, I can honestly say I don’t. But I’ve been searching for a way to separate myself if that makes sense.” He wasn’t exactly sure what she meant by Somebody and Nobody.

“…” Slowly, she raised her hands up, trying to feel the hem of her hood. Once she felt it between her index and thumb finger, she pulled it down, allowing for her hair to fall into place. She looked down and sighed quietly. “I suppose you don’t look like the type, but, if it’s all the same, I think I’ll stay back here. I don’t know you, so I’ll be cautious. Be warned, I won’t hesitate to kill you should you attack me.” Although she had gotten enough confidence to take her hood off, she still didn’t talk as she normally would if she were with friends.
She felt her eyebrows jump up in surprise. He wanted to separate himself? Why? Why would he do that to himself? Maybe he hadn’t known of all the people who had been trying to reemerge with themselves in order to feel. Maybe his didn’t know that he would die if he tried to do that. Still, what was his type? What had compelled him to jump to that decision? “Why?” She asked quietly taking another step then sitting down on the floor. Xion then proceeded to pull her knees up to her chest and wrap her arms around them. “Don’t you know what’ll happen to you if you do that? Why would you want to put your Other through that?”

As she dropped her hood, revealing her face, Fate was at little shocked. She didn't look much older than he. If anything, she looked younger. She's cute. You say that about every female we meet. So? So st-- Nevermind. It's pointless. He nodded his head to let her know that he was fully aware of what she was saying. Other than that, he didn't move much. "I guess looks can be decieving. You don't look like someone who would kill."
Why? Fate chuckled slightly at the question. A better question would be why not. Why wouldn't he want to 'fix' himself? But he gave it some thought. He knew his answer already. He just wanted to put it in a way that wouldn't offend anyone. "If you don't like something then you do away with it or just deal with it... I tried dealing with this 'other' me. I can't do it anymore. I'm not sure what would happen, but i'm hoping i'll be cured. Be normal."

At his words, Xion let a grin dance it's way onto her lips. She supposed he was right. Kairi didn't have a face of someone who could kill, so she supposed she didn't either. Yet, she could kill. That wasn't to say she wouldn't regret it later because she would. She'd regret and regret it until eventually it ate her up. And, to help, at least she'd regret it. At least she wouldn't be evil enough to laugh at the other person's suffering like the sadistic Larxene would. So, in a way, she was somewhere between a Somebody and a Nobody. Yet, in reality, she was worse than a Nobody. At the very least, Nobodies had some sort of memory of their past lives. They were created from the hearts, she was just a replica. She was just created and then given fake memories. So, when he said that, accompanied by the look he had on his face, she just smiled and brushed her hair behind her ear. "I guess so. This might sound like a weird thing to ask, but I need to know this. Do you have a heart?"
"I don't think...that's what's best...it might be to where, if you do that, you'll lose your life where as your other will survive. At least, I think that's what happens. I can't...be sure. I think...it's safe to assume you don't know what a Somebody and a Nobody are, correct? Would you like for me to explain?" she asked standing up and moving closer. She decided that, if she couldn't find Roxas and Axel, she might as well make ties, friendships, with other people. And who knew? Maybe she would find the other two eventually. "Oh, I suppose we haven't introduced each other...my name is No. I. But since I am existant to the point where I'm allowed to be, my bestowed name is Xion."

She's smilin'! She totally got the hots for us! People smile at us all the time! Doesn't mean they got the hots for us. Yeah, it does. I'm tellin' ya it's your purple eyes. They scream sensitivity! Girls like that. Where do you get this crap? A movie? Tch! Never that. More like wikipedia. Do you have a heart? Yeah, he could say that was weird. He was pretty sure you needed a heart to live. Maybe she meant emotionally? Yeah, that had to be it. He tilted his head to the side for a moment and then smiled. "Yeah, I have a heart. I've been told I have too big of a heart," He answered, "You're not planning on ripping it out of me then eating it? If so, could I get a head start on running away?"
"Lose my life? No, I don't really want that." If he was going to lose his life it would have been better to take his 'other' with him. But that was far from his mind. "I think I got the wrong idea of what a Somebody and a Nobody are. Please do explain." When she moved closer he simply smiled. It seemed she was starting to drop her guard a little. As she spoke her name Fate wondered if she was an experiment too. Maybe she was from the same project he was... The odds of that happening was very slim. He pulled up the sleeve of his right arm, revealing a numerical tattoo in bold, black letters... "30/30-150. But that's a mouthful so you can call me Fate Lingod."

"Too big of a...?" Xion's eyebrowss knit down and she ran everything she'd ever read in Vexen's lab. Everyone had the same size of heart...didn't they? Except for those, of course, who had no heart such as herself and all the other Nobodies. Everything she saw pointed to yes, they did. Which was why she was extremely confused and was sure she had a lost expression on her face. "Oh. So, I guess your a Somebody then...But, if I may ask-I'm afraid I don't really comprehend matters when comes to those of the heart-how can someone gave too big of a heart?" When she realized that he had continued, and after regeresting in her head what he had said, she laughed softly. "I don't eat hearts. It's unnecessary for one thing, and I want a heart of my own, so why would I eat one?" she'd stopped laughing, but she was still smiling. It was insane. Crazy. Illogical. "But if I were to eat a heart, I guess I would give you a warning. Only courteous."
Her smile dropped and a frown replaced it. She nodded solemly and picked up her arm, curving her hand into a fist, and bringing it up over her nonexistent heart. It had been an old habit, but it was one she wasn't ready to give up just yet. "Well, there are Heartless, Nobodies, and Somebodies. Even if you knew, Heartless are hearts corrupted by darkness that lack a body or a soul. They're the most common enemies ever. There are two types of Heartless." she said in a voice that reminded her of either Vexen or Zexion. "Pureblood or Emblem. Pureblood Heartless ar black shadowy crestura born of pure darkness. When beat, they don't release any hearts. Emblem Heartless are the artificial. They release a heart, one that they've stolen, and it goes off into the Realm of Darkness." she took a breath. "Nobodies are...creatures without hearts, living only as the body and soul of the people who lost their hearts to the darkness. Since we-they- lack hearts to possess light or darkness, they are only nothing. Some keep their human form because they possessed strong hearts, while weaker Nobodies became maldoemed, inhuman forms." she hesitated, wondering whether or not she should bring in that there were Puppets who were supposedly just made out of a body, not possessing neither a heart nor a body.
Deciding against it, she continued. "A Somebody, basically, are what Heartless and Nobodies were. They, you, are people with hearts, souls, and bodies." she frowned slightly. He was a project too? Granted, they weren't from the same project, and she still had no doubt in her mind that he was a somebody, but it comforted her. "I doubt you were...but were you a replica?" she asked softly staring down at the floor. That's what she was. A puppet. An imperfect replica of Sora and Roxas.

Told ya yo' jokes bite! She didn't even laugh! I don't think she got it... That's 'cause it wasn't funny.
The expression on her face told Fate that she either didn't think it was funny or she just didn't get it. He prayed it was the latter. He rubbed the back of his head, thinking of a way to explain it. "It's just a figure of speech. People would say I have a 'big heart' because I am too nice." He could only hope that he explained that well.
Fate listened carefully as she explained what a Somebody and a Nobody was. He could honestly say he hadn't encounter any Heartless or Nobodies. This was all new to him. Would he turn to a Heartless and a Nobody if Glory had taken full control? "No, I don't believe i'm a replica. I-- Uh, I've always been a Somebody. Not created. Just experimented on."

Xion’s mouth dropped slightly and formed an O shape. She scratched the back of her head nervously and giggled. “Oh. I see. Haha I guess I didn’t understand, right? Where I come from, we don’t throw metaphors around like that.” She shrugged and dropped her hand. In The World That Never Was, they didn’t talk about hearts at all unless find a way to get one was in the same sentence. In fact, they didn’t talk about being nice at all. Unless, it was just Axel, Roxas, and herself. The other Nobodies, especially Saix, Zexion, and Vexen, didn’t bother to pretend to have any emotion.
“It really all depends on whether or not you have a strong heart. If what you say is true, about everyone saying your heart is too big because you’re too nice, then chances are you’ll end up a Nobody if you’re ever defeated by a Heartless.” She grinned at him and shrugged. “Chances are of that happening, though, can be slim to none or worse than ever. I couldn’t really say. After all, I haven’t been around for a while.”
Her smile cooled a bit, but was still visible. Of course he wasn’t a Replica. How stupid of her to think so. From what she had gathered…before…there had been several failed attempts, all of which were destroyed. The only ones that had come out even remotely successful, but still ultimately failed, were herself and the Riku Replica she had heard about. Thinking about him, Xion wondered. Where was the real Riku, or even the Replica of him?

Ow! Let's go fight one of those Heartless thingys! Uh, did you not pay attention to anything she just said? Yeah, I did. These thingys sound dangerous and dangerous is just another word for fun. No, it's another word for stupid. Stupid's another word for fun too! And it's the least ya could do. Ya didn't go fight those dragons so we could be heroes!
Fate could honestly say he loved being a Somebody. So he thought it be best if he just didn't encounter any of these Heartless she spoke of. Not that he didn't believe he could defend himself. She was a Nobody which meant she didn't have a heart. It was still hard to believe that someone could exist without a heart. Then again, she didn't exist. This was all confusing to the boy.
"Xion. How would you go about getting a heart? And is there anyway I could help?"

“How would I go about getting a heart?” Xion repeated tilting her head slightly in curiosity. It used to be simple. All she had to do was go around killing the heartless, Emblem not Pureblood, to get the hearts they held within them. From then, the hearts would float up, rather prettily, into Kingdom Hearts. From what Xemnas had droned on about meeting after meeting, once they had finished Kingdom Hearts, they would have gotten their hearts back. But Xemnas had been wrong. They were right to chose death over doing something that was wrong such as that.
Besides that, if Roxas had done as she had asked him to, there were, few hearts left in Kingdom Hearts, if any. If there still were, she would make sure she set them free. She smiled softly to herself once she realized how confused Fate should be after hearing all this. To him, he had just met some stranger girl who had asked strange questions, believing the whole first part of their conversation that she had had a heart of her own. Unfortunately for him, he had to find out that there were people in the world without hearts, and that there were even those who would try to seal his own heart from him.
“I used to know, Fate.” She said simply looking down. “That was…some time ago. Now, I’m not sure. I’m not even sure I want a heart. It’s said that I’m not supposed to feel any emotion without it, but I’m not entirely sure that’s true. I believe I can feel emotions…”

She's crazy! We don't do crazy. She's not crazy! She's insane then. She's not insane! She's one of 'em. Take yo' pick. One day i'm going to hurt you... Badly.
Emotions? Hearing her talk about it this way made Fate a bit sad. Things like that he didn't even think twice about. It was something he took for granted. Having no emotions didn't seem that bad though. Wouldn't that mean you didn't feel sorrow? "Well, if you believe have feelings that's all that matter. No one else can tell you otherwise."
That was cheesy. Seriously, ya couldn't think of somethin' cooler to say? Like? Like, uh, there's two type of people in this world... People who exist and those who don't. You honestly haven't been paying attention to any of the conversation.

Xion laughed, dryly. “You know what the worse part is? It’s not the fact that we can’t feel the emotions. For them, for the Nobodies, it’s worse than if it were just me. You see, they remember the emotions. They remember what it was like to love, to hate, to feel pain, to feel joy. All I have is the memories they implanted in me, and that of the ones I had last time around. But I, I never really know if I am truly feeling something, or if I just think I am.” She quieted down and stared back down on the floor. That’s why she wasn’t so certain, anymore. That she could feel. She never knew what it was like. She didn’t know if these feelings she remembered were real or not. She had never felt them in the first place. She knew what anger was, just from observing Larxene. She knew what sadness was from Riku, but, as far as she could remember, that was it. Nothing else
“Some people, the Somebodies, they don’t give their emotions another thought. They don’t bother to think how truly lucky they are to have their heart, their emotions, and their soul until they meet someone like me, or a Nobody, and then all they do is feel pity for that person while they’re with that person. Do me a favor, Fate, please don’t pity me.” She gave him a half smile. Xion wanted to continue. To say that, all his pity was wasted on it. She couldn’t even be thankful that he had given it to her. It was just wasted. He should have been giving it to someone else, someone who cared. Another thing, she didn’t want his pity. She was going to find a way to get a heart, and a soul.
It mattered how she got it, too. Sort of. She would try anyway she could, as long as it wasn’t like Xemnas’ method. She refused to fight the heartless, unless her life, or the life of another, was threatened. That’d only be playing into the Organization’s hands once more, and that was something she wasn’t going to do.
