Roxas didn't know why he was him.
He was supposed to be Sora. Within Sora, part of Sora, however that made sense. It wasn't an existence, but it was the only thing he had, and he'd gotten back to that, only to have it ripped away again. Had something gone wrong? Were they incompatible? Maybe spending a year apart had made things tougher--but he'd already spent the better part of two months watching the world from behind Sora's eyes, bolstering Sora's movements, and furthering Sora's goals. Why was he getting cheated out of his true self now?
Searching Twilight Town turned up nothing. Nothing except a portal to god knew where, and that turned out to be the middle of absolutely nowhere--as Roxas really should have expected. He could still utilize the Corridors to a degree, but he didn't have the control over them that he used to and didn't feel comfortable trying to maneuver them without Sora's aid (which was equally ridiculous, as there was no reason to endanger Sora's heart). So he found himself stuck.
That is, until he found himself at the doors of Castle Oblivion.
Roxas had never been here even though Sora had, like with other places. He didn't know what had gone on within its walls beyond what little Axel had told him about the missions there, and that was limited to the mysterious deaths of a clean half of the Organization. In a way, he didn't feel like he had the right to...
A Nobody doesn't have a right to know.
Sora's Nobody shoved open the doors to the castle, slightly chilled by the emptiness that resounded in the resulting bohmmmmchkkhhh. It seemed like even if the castle were crawling with Nobodies, it would feel just as lifeless to him stepping over the threshold. But he did it anyway, letting the doors fall closed behind him.
