Storm of course wasn’t paying attention after he thought he had the last heartless taken care of. He wasn’t used to these things, and he didn’t know how tricky they were. It was a good thing he had a friend to be there for him when he first learned the hard way. Out of the corner of his eye he saw it when Alex yelled for him to duck. He didn’t have time to do anything but as he was instructed, and duck he did! He dropped down to one knee as Alex grabbed out his handgun and snapped off a shot at the heartless. He felt it fall beside him right before it hissed and disappeared into nothing.
He grinned sheepishly at Alex. “Thanks man! I’m glad you had my back there!” When Alex said that they should get out of there, he nodded. “Hell yeah, lets go home before any more of those things appear!” He noticed with shock that Alex didn’t argue with him at all when he helped him into the car. He must be really sick not to argue to drive his car…
Alex didn’t look so good…he was really concerned. As he got in the drivers seat and started the car he glanced over at Alex. “Alex bud? You don’t look so great, do you need to go to a hospital?” He heard Alex speak about the possibility that they were after the crystal as he put on the signal and pulled out into the street. “I don’t know why they attacked us. I wouldn’t think they would be after the crystal, but maybe. I’ll check in with Noct when we get back to make sure its alright!” He glanced over at Alex. “But don’t worry about that right now! If they are after it, they’ll never get it!” He leaned over while driving and buckled Alex in. “Might wanna be buckled with my driving eh?”
He gave him a crooked grin. “Alex, hey, don’t worry about it! There’s nothing for you to be sorry for! Its not your fault you get sick, and besides, I know you would always have my back if I was in the same situation! We’re friends, and I’ve got your back, I hope you know that…I won’t let anything happen to you if I can help it!” He turned up the air conditioning, because he had noticed that Alex was extremely hot to the touch. “Just hang in there, I’ll getcha home in a few minutes!”

“Thanks man! I’m glad you had my back there!” “Hell yeah, lets go home before any more of those things appear!”
“Alex bud? You don’t look so great, do you need to go to a hospital?” Alex shook his head....."No...They don't know how to treat me...." “I don’t know why they attacked us. I wouldn’t think they would be after the crystal, but maybe. I’ll check in with Noct when we get back to make sure its alright!” Alex just nodded with heavy eyes.... “But don’t worry about that right now! If they are after it, they’ll never get it!” Alex smiled weakly he liked Storm's positive attitude..... “Might wanna be buckled with my driving eh?” Alex chuckled slightly then.....
“Alex, hey, don’t worry about it! There’s nothing for you to be sorry for! Its not your fault you get sick, and besides, I know you would always have my back if I was in the same situation! We’re friends, and I’ve got your back, I hope you know that…I won’t let anything happen to you if I can help it!” "Same for me...Storm...They're following us...." That was one of the powers his father gave him....Enhanced senses.....He could hear the Heartless when they were miles away.....Now all would make sense to Storm.....How Alex was able to take charge of most of the missions they did together....and tell Noctis some of the things that were helpful in battles...."Storm....I....."
“Just hang in there, I’ll getcha home in a few minutes!” And Alex nodded then......Alex was hot! He knew he was taking a temperature...."Storm....There.....There's more....Even more that Noctis is unaware of......"

Storm concentrated on driving, looking in the mirrors and trying to figure out all the gizmo’s that the car had. Once he pressed something he thought were the lights as It was getting darker out, and the car made a weird noise. He glanced over at Alex, hoping that his bud hadn’t heard the noise. He didn’t want him to worry about the car…Storm just wasn’t used to a car like this…regular cars he could handle! This one…just like his shotgun, was all modified, and harder to deal with. He nodded when Alex mentioned that they wouldn’t know how to treat him. This must be something really really serious if even a hospital couldn’t help him. He just hoped that Alex wasn’t in too much pain anymore, although the expression on his face spoke otherwise.
He just nodded and sent a smile Alex’s way. He was closer now to his quiet friend then he had ever been. They understood each other more…well at least he understood Alex more. Alex still didn’t know his deep dark secret…but hey, no one would probably guess about that…right? But what happened if someone came to take him back…there? Noct might have to force him to go, but he didn’t want to go to prison. He often wondered if Noct knew he was a fugitive…maybe, he hoped not. He couldn’t be broody, no matter what happened, he was always his happy go lucky self, maybe that’s why no one would guess he had a darker past.
He snapped back to the present when Alex spoke of them following them. He looked in the rear view mirror and cursed under his breath. He accepted what Alex had said without a question, but while driving with his right hand, his left closed around his shotgun. If what Alex said was right, and they were after the crystal, they couldn’t simply go home, so he had two choices. The First…drive like crazy and hope he lost them, or Second…stop and…well put the shotgun to use. With Alex so sick though, he didn’t really want to stop and have to stop and fight. He knew he was gonna be in charge of keeping them both safe by himself, so he took a deep breath and looked in the mirror one last time. “If there are more…well we’ll get to the bottom of this Alex!”
He caught a glimpse of one, and replacing the grim look, was a confident, ‘To devil with this’ smiled of his. “This might get a little rough Alex…Hang in there k?” He glanced over, and winked at him, not lying to Alex. “You know we have two options, to loose them or fight them. I’m gonna try the first one to begin with, but if I can’t, then I’m gonna take em out!” He shook his head. “Sorry for the rough driving in advance!” He cocked the shotgun with only one hand, before lying it across his lap and turning quickly down a different street. His shotgun was ready to shoot, in case he needed it. Some may say it was dangerous, since it was cocked without the safety on, in a moving vehicle when they might get attacked. Just sounded like a challenge to Storm…

"No....worries....Just keep them away from the crystal...That's all we have to for Noctis right....?" Alex was getting a bit better....The meds were kicking in. Finally! But, still he was not up to fight over a hundred Heartless! But Alex would do what ever it takes to keep the crystal from falling in to the wrong hands....
Alex could sense them getting closer and closer to the car! People trying to cross the streets as well, yelled at the car flying right past them! "Storm.....Just fight and don't worry about me.....We have to keep....the...." That was when Alex finally just fell asleep from lack of sleep! He hated his self some times!! He hated the man that did all those experiments on him! That's what Alex wanted to tell Storm...That he was not so sure that that man was indeed his father...That he and Stella were in fact brother and sister....Alex did a DNA match on himself and Stella while she first arrived at the manor.....And it was positive! What was he going to tell his friends?!

Storm nodded and glanced quickly at Alex before looking out his window. He could feel them getting closer…well he could see them anyway. He saw them in the mirrors easier now, glancing behind his shoulder, he screeched into another road, accelerating quickly before turning onto another road. This wasn’t really helping…besides, he had no idea where he was going. This was Midgar, not his own world. He didn’t know what street they were on, or even where they were in general. The only place he knew how to get to in Midgar was the Seventh Heaven, so now he was completely lost. “Yeah, I’ll do what I can…hopefully that’s enough!” He knew without Alex telling him that there were tons of Heartless. Thinking of all the heartless, he wished Alex weren’t sick. Or that one of their other friends were with them, either Noct or Scar. well they’re not, so deal with it, besides, I can do it alone! he though to himself.
And then they were starting to surround the car. He swore under his breath and rolling his window down, snapped off three shots in rapid succession. The heartless around them yelped and a few fell to the ground. Swerving quickly, he hit a few one with the car before it could get out of the way. And swinging his arm up, he didn’t have to even sight it before he fired twice more out the window. Glancing at Alex to make sure he was alright, Storm noticed that he was sleeping. He took a breath…alone…
A heartless jumped on the roof of the car and started banging around. Storm growled and skidded to a stop. The heartless fell off as he did so. He fired the last five shots out the widow at the heartless before rolling the widow up. As more yelped and fell down, the others were somewhat weary, holding back and growling. He grinned his grin, before opening the car door. Standing there, he locked the car, grabbed the spare set of car keys, and closed the door. He wasn’t letting them get to Alex! He stood alone and ready now, his normal happy go lucky self replaced with what he usually was like in battle. Confident and sure of himself, he was accurately precise up to a point. After that point, he went wild and crazy. “You want some a this?!” He smirked, before making the quickest reload he could. And then they charged…
Twirling around, he picked 4 targets and squeezed off 4 shots, hitting at least 2 heartless with every shot. One jumped up, but instead of wasting ammo Storm just turned his gun around and hit it with the stock of the shotgun. Jumping up, he fired in midair before landing on his feet once again. And then something hit him from behind, knocking him down. He heard the growl, and as soon as he hit he ground, he rolled over and a small knife appeared in his hand. Stabbing at the heartless, he rolled to his knees and dived for his shotgun. Bringing it up and firing at the heartless as it leapt at him again. Coming quickly to his feet, he fired the last 5 shots off into the mass of heartless. His shoulder was bleeding where he had gotten clawed by one of the heartless. He looked at his shoulder, before chuckling, “Come on, is that all you’ve got?!” reloading and putting his knife back away, he shook his head, and watched them pacing and circling. Many of them were now on the ground, dead, so they were loosing their courage. However, they wouldn’t be giving up already. Rotating his shoulder, he could feel them tense. Alex remained sleeping, for all Storm knew, close to death. He wished Noct would just show up, to help him out, but Noct wasn’t going to come…he was busy elsewhere. “I guess the fugitive has to do everything…” He muttered with a smirk, and heard them growl as he took another deep breath…once again…ready..

Alex was not aware by the time Storm had stopped the care all together. There was just too many Heartless! Alex was alive though. And he would live. He would just have to rely on Storm for now for protection him and the crystal....That's all that mattered to these guys! Their live meant nothing....But they still could not flat out and die....They had to defend the crystal....Especially in a situation like this....It would take the whole gang to destroy these meaningless Heartless that was attacking them....But even in 'sleep mode' Alex had faith in his friend...He knew Storm would pull through....
Even asleep some enhanced humans could defend themselves....Thanks to what was done to him, Alex was able to make a beam surround his body! A bright Light! This was his Light....It was yellow in color just like Stella's rune....And as soon as it hit some Heartless, it shattered them into pieces like shattering glass! The Heartless shrieked out in pain as the light hit them! Before they blew up! See, all this time, Alex was thinking positive things, this was the reason he conjured up his Light! He was not going down and neither was Storm! But there would be only a few Heartless left....But Storm could handle those! The Light in Alex was dying down now....And this was no surprise that Storm might be baffled by this.....Alex was aware of this....He would just have to tell Storm that this was proof of him being related to Stella.....
But how to tell Storm....Would the guy believe him....? Alex found out that he was her brother....And that while she was the Dark....He was the Light....It was his duty to stop Darkness from forming......

Rough paper edged past his feet, blown by the humid wind to scratch along the uneven surface of the road he stepped on. Gunfire rang somewhere on the other side of the block where he stood, drawn with awareness and alarm to the sudden change in atmosphere. The expiring of bullets with each fired round, so well timed and familiar to him, resounded with a steady drumming of the wings of birds that beat as they flocked to hiding from around him and the plaza. Their shadows cast like a vehicle of war to bring death from above, disappeared into the distance of safety and cleared his view of the street.
He was like a charcoal sketch moving out from inanimation by force, in this place that made everything so desecrated and antique. It was movement itself and life of this city that could boost colour, and the activity of conflict away from him certainly was capable of the same, yet the structures of the entire city still looked as faded as a century old photograph. Noctis felt a concern itch in his intuition but this wasn't the first time he had that sense but he was at a garden of forking paths, unable to choose to interfere or disregard; he had nothing to lose and everything too. There was an irony he could only see in another dimension.
Dust fanned out in clouds to surround him then began to blend into the saturation of everything he could see ahead of him. Midgar's sky was red, dyed by a burning sun that seemed to have it's heat trapped behind a fog screen, whilst it relentlessly shone as though to break through it someday. The focus panned into his eyes, his vision sharpened with his hearing. It was unmistakable that as soon as he'd turned his back on that path, a brightness reflecting Gold illuminated the dreary tone of everything. The rays stretched out his silhouette on the ground as it had switched direction and elongated with the flash. He could read his own face on the metal of a car body beside him as people paused in their tracks to shield their eyes and locate the source of a minor blindness. The weapon fired had not caught the attention of Midgar's people; it seemed to be no big deal here, but this light was rather rare. Though this momentary admiration they shared wouldn't be able to faze anyone either, it was something remarkable.
It was the symbol rotating low in an alley way, he could only see the bare edges of the shine by the corner of a building and the rest was hindered. For Noctis, this was trouble, and it had been heartstopping. Blood rushed and drained through the piping of his veins and popped somewhere chokingly to resurrect him from a sudden killing; he awoke the conscience within and breathed with difficulty. The pupils dilated and constricted as he squinted far, the shade of his iris mirroring that crimson vibrance of battle as a stricken look and deep consideration washed his face, paling him swiftly. There was little time to find out what could be a serious problem, or a danger for him but it puzzled every thought, the references he made with the light he could see now and that mark of an enemy. Was he simply in a dream? There were things he could overlook now only to ease his tension, but the question if this sign, so clear, was real could have an answer that changed his world. He observed and weighed the impossibility of what he was thinking on one hand, and the terrible fear of reality in the other; Had the Fleurets taken action, or was there another part to this fabula crystallis that he didn't acknowledge earlier? It was traumatic and magnificent, the escalation of his worry and doubt; he would soon believe what he could when he trespassed on the being who conjured such a power similar to his own, if he was not too late.
Involuntary was his rationale. His feet and his physical being was prepared for the confrontation, they carried him with the quickest decision but his mind and soul were torn out with a dread for the worst. The end of his coat sliced through the air and into a slit in time that took him paces faster than human travel, away from where he had been five minutes ago; his image dissipating like that of hologram dissolving in the night.
(I'd been meaning to post in here sometime earlier, sorry if it's a weird time now. It'd make sense if you two continue as I'm not directly involved where you're at yet... I'm taking, I shouldn't find out about Alex so soon, so Storm could already know whatever Alex decides to tell him, before I post again as not having seen Alex with his ability. Fill me in however you like from there, or don't! lol)
