"Not its fine you don't have to apologize Cloud I forgave you already." Tifa could only smile now as she looked at him. Brushing her hair back Tifa leaned up to give a kiss on the cheeks.
"No one is stopping you Cloud..... I am here and I want nothing more than just to be with you like this. You have finally let me into your heart and to be this close to you, you never allowed this before." She paused with a smile taking everything he said in "What did you want to ask?"

She made him tear up when she said that. She really understood him...Aerith knew him as well, but not as well as Tifa did....He closed his eyes as she kissed his cheek.....And smiled....Her touch was so soothing.....He was so stupid to not say any thing about this sooner....She felt the same way...It was unbelievable.....He thought it was a dream....But when he opened his eyes again there she was right in front of him.....
"What did you want to ask?"
"Can we take it slow?......I'm just getting used to this....And I don't want to screw any thing up for us....I want everything to be special...." He said that as he took his fingers and rubbed them between a long strand of hair that flowed down her shoulder.....

"Cloud" Tifa said taking a step back and lowering her hands to hold his. She still smiled that famous smile of hers as she gazed into his Mako blue eyes. "That’s exactly what I want….. to take things slow so every moment would be special, and you're not the only one who is afraid." She looked down but still didn't let go of his hands. She just let her mind drift into memories. They were once friends and now that turned into something more.
"I will be honest with you no more lies…… I am afraid this all of it is new to me" She lifted her head up to meet his eyes as she spoke. "What if I make a mistake or ruin what we have……. I don't want to lose you" Tifa was more open now with her feeling. She didn't want to keep anything from Cloud anymore and she only hoped he felt the same.

"Tifa...I don't want to lose you either. We could try and hide our relationship from everyone else....But I'm sure you would not want to do that. I'm tired of hiding things. Especially from you. I will try my best to keep us together. I promise. From the bottom of my heart. I will try." He loved that smile she would always give him...Especially when she gazed into his eyes.....He let go of her hands for a moment, to place one of his on her cheek....His heart was open to her now. She would know. That he had changed tremendously.

"Your right I don't want that Cloud. I am tired of hiding how I feel from the world especially you. If we do that we will only be moving backward not forward." She gazed back into his eyes and sighed calming down once his hand touched her cheek. How long has she waited for this it seemed like eternity and now that she has gotten a taste how this love feels she wouldn't give it up not even for the world. Her only hope is that he felt the same way.
Tifa smiled that cheerful smile she was known for and it beamed with happiness at Clouds words but she shook her head at the thought. "Why are we talking about this now....? We have the day for ourselves we wont get another chance like this for a while so lets try and enjoy this time while we can maybe discuss something else like....." She let Cloud sit down on the chair she was on before and moved to sit on his lap. She smiled brushing her hair away from her eyes and looked into his. "Is this alright......?"

"Now that is some thing we really need right now...." He smiled as he let her sit on his lap....As he reached up and brushed a strand of her hair off her shoulder that had fallen....How was this even possible? All their lives they were never able to be together like this....And now....It was like another dream Cloud was having....Only this time he was certain that he was not dreaming....All the fighting....All the hating seemed to end.....He felt at peace with her in his life like this.....

"I agree" He didn't reject this so Tifa smiled leaning her head to rest on his chest as she played with her hands. "So how about you tell me..... what made you fall in love with me?" Tifa asked lifting her head to gaze into his eyes and waited for an answer. She was curious to know what drew him to her and when he actually fell in love with her. Was it the same time she also started to have feelings for him?

I think I made that right choice with you. I fell in love with you when I had to say good bye to you....It was the hardest damned thing I had to do. Leave. You were my friend for a long time....You stood by me when others pushed me away. That's one reason why I love you. Why I fell in love...My reason for being here....I choose to....Because I love you. When you were sad or scared or even happy, I was there with you in your heart...You know that....And I know. How? I just know. Tifa....You are my life now...." It was an emotional moment for Cloud to express all this at once....But he was able to tell her and not worry about what she would say....He knew she loved him....He loved her...."I told you, you were my light....You always will be...."

Tifa smiled leaning her head back to look at him and listened to his answer. So that was when he fell in love with her when it was time to say goodbye. "I see....." She paused looking up at him from where she was still sitting on his lap. Tifa still smiled happily as she gazed into his eyes.
She blushed again at the mention that she was his light. Was he doing that on purpose she wonder but just let it slip. "For me it was before..... I always loved you ever since we were kids. Even though I was surrounded by others you were the only friend I ever had. I can always be myself with you and you always listened to me....." She paused as her mind drifted back to those days. That was when she was starting to really like Cloud.
She always looked forward to talking with him, but everything went changed that night of the accident. "You could say I fell in love with you that night I almost died.... everyone was to afraid to follow me but you..... you saved me but after that night everyone pushed you away from me. Thats when I realized that I needed you...... that I loved you"

Cloud smiled as tears left his eyes. He knew she loved him but he had no idea her feelings for him started that far back....That was what made him cry. He bit his lip as looked at her. "Tifa....I...I...don't know what to say....You loved me that long....?" He now was hers forever. That she was so much more in love with him than he was with her. She really needed him...This proved enough to him that it showed how much she needed him...."You don't know what that means to me.....To hear you say that. I...I thought I was doing the right thing by staying away from you...They all hated me you know that....I felt responsible for your fall. But I see now, that you never did blame me for that....I would've crossed the seas of hell and back to rescue you....I thought you were a tougher girl now though....Aren't you?" He teased again....It just felt so great to have her this close to him....

"Cloud.... your crying....." Tifa was surprises she almost never saw him cry before, even it situations where he should he just bottled his feelings inside just like she always did. Did she say something wrong to make him cry?
"Yeah I guess I did I thought you knew....." She just smiled wiping his tears away. She knew that he would let her be this close to him now. "It was never your fault thats why I never blamed you. It was my decision to climb the mountain. I wanted to meet my mother to say goodbye and thought that was the only way. You didn't have to follow me but you did, and you saved me." She paused closing her eyes remembering that night. She was alone or thought she was until she heard him call her name and stopped. "If you hadn't called my name then I would have continued to the top. A fall from there would have killed me so in a way you did save me..... Yeah I am tougher now so it won't be easy to get rid of me" She added with a small chuckle

"Cloud.... your crying....." The minute she said that, he reached up but Tifa had already started to wipe them away for him...He then smiled....
"Tears of happiness I guess...." "Yeah I guess I did I thought you knew....." He looked up into her eyes then.....
"I was not a hundred percent sure...." "It was never your fault thats why I never blamed you. It was my decision to climb the mountain. I wanted to meet my mother to say goodbye and thought that was the only way. You didn't have to follow me but you did, and you saved me." Any one would go that distance to see their mother again....even Sephiroth. "If you hadn't called my name then I would have continued to the top. A fall from there would have killed me so in a way you did save me..... Yeah I am tougher now so it won't be easy to get rid of me" Cloud chuckled at that...."Well, I'm glad to hear that....Because it's gonna a lot harder getting rid of me....."

"I thought you would figure it out with all the hints I dropped.... in the end I asked you to make that promise just to be sure you will come back for me someday." Tifa explained as she looked back at Cloud. She remembered that day as clear as ever even when it happened so long ago. "I wanted to hold on to something how else will I know that you will come back?" She added closing her eyes for a few minutes but her smile never faded.
Tifa just sat there and let her thoughts form for a few seconds before opening her eyes again, and let out a small laugh at his words. "Now why would I want to get rid of you after going through all that?"

Cloud could not stop smiling....Even when she looked down and continued to smile as she did. He wanted to say a lot to her....But soon the quietness was broken by a screeching noise far from them! That really broke the moment! Cloud looked up and all over the place....It was dark....And the only light was from the fire place....."What was that?" He asked surprised....As he felt a sharp pain hit his stomach he at once grabbed his stomach....."Tifa..." The whites in his eyes changed to pitch black......

Tifa jumped to her feet at the sound of the scream. "I don't know but what ever it was its not good" That much she concluded from the fear she sensed in the screem. Someone was there in the castle other than them and was in trouble. Tifa reached to her back pocket ready to pull out her gloved when she saw him. "Cloud whats going on.... are you alright?" She asked turning to face him. From the tone of her voice he could tell she was worried, and her expression soon changed once she saw his eyes turn dark. Was it the Darkness was it trying to get a hold of him?
